i got an acer aspire 5100 and i would like to disable the green pop-up text, like te one that displays your volume lvl when you change it. is this possible? and if it isn is there another way to hotkey my volume up and down then with the Fn key?

Normally the green text funtion is part of a wider function like the hotkeys facility, try going to add remove programs and removing the program that runs your hotkeys, reboot and it should solve your green text problem.
