Whats the best to upload videos too? I like google video and youtube the best. They in my opionion have the more proffesional look on things.
youtube gvideo or myspace
Myspace isn't good. Sometimes you need to be logged in to actually view anything, but Youtube is definitely the way to go. I suspect google video and youtube will merge sometime soon, as google recently bought youtube for a hefty amount of cash. And I mean a serious high sum of money.
we all knwo how much it got sold for. I dont 'think they will merge into one. I think it will be run as the way it is. Its pretty impressive how sites are. Its pretty cool also.
I have only used youtube, but I'm not sure i really liked it. My friend made a video of himself playing a piano piece to promote himself hopeing to get work in restaurants and stuff.
The side bar ended up listing several other peoples videos of them playing the same piece. They all pretty much played it better than he did, and made him look bad by comparision.
I would agree myspace isn't a great choice do to having to log in. Google pretty much does the same thing as youtube as far as simular videos goes.
In the end I think next time I'll upload it to youtube again but embed the video on his own website and promote that page.

The best is Youtube, and google thinks so too if you look at the price they paid for it...
I don't know about you guys, but DIVX's stage 6 Youtube/Google Video like website looks pretty sweet. The quality is a whole lot clearer too. I guess the only "downside" is that you have to install the divxwebplayer.
http://stage6.divx.com/ is the link. It looks pretty sweet and an awesome alternative.

I believe all three have a crappy quality, since it's suitable for any bandwidth viewer. This Stage6 website have better looking videos; I don't know if it's a codec enhancement or better bitrate...
The thing is YouTube (and GVideo, in second) has a much better search engine.

I've only tried YouTube and honestly I think it is the best simply because it seems to be the most popular, allowing you to show your work to the most amount of people.
I like Google video over Youtube to upload and watch videos because of the little ads. YouTube does have more videos.
I hear revver.com is pretty good too and apparently they pay per view or something because they attach a small ad at the end of your vids. Worth checking out anyway.

Youtube is definately the best, since you get so many features. It is kindof like a community, yet most other video/image/file hosts don't do that.
Youtube since its the most popular one.
Google Video is much better than Youtube, for these reasons.
1. Youtube is simply something you watch on the internet. No downloading at all.
2. Google Video has less ads. This isn't a major problem, but still, it is better to have no ads.
3. Youtube restricts all videos to 10 minutes, unless you have a "director account." A director account takes a little while to make, sort of like another account on top of your first one.
There are other very small preferences, but those are the biggest. Google Video has everything Youtube has. Google Video has comments, ability to play in a fullscreen, medium (default), or regular windows. However, Youtube does have the ability to record directly from a camera for computer-challenged people. This isn't a good service compared to the Windows Movie Maker program, and all you have to do to make a movie is just to record from the camera and then put it on Youtube directly. One of the only upsides Youtube has is that Youtube is more popular.

This is an up-and-coming website. Video quality is really good. Downside is that you should have a good quality camera, and most people don't.
I like youtube and google video, I dont like very many other places.... But thats just my opinion sooo... yeah....
I think google video has the better quality videos - the resolution is a lot larger but YouTube has a larger audience.

The thing here is down to encoding. It is possiblt to get crystal clear non pixilated video onto YouTube. you just have to play with the encoding of your video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03p3UlvkAT4 this link is to a video on how to encode videos for you tube using sony vegas. You dont need vegas to do it - just use the same principals he describes!

Does the director account cost to create?

No - its free!
Youtube is by far the best, and is the fastest growing, I'd have to say Youtube, after all it is the reason it is created and is by far the most popular and easiest.
Google videos is a very bad layout, probaly why they bought-out Youtube.
And MySpace is terrible for many reason which I won't explain because I hate it so much.
So yeah, Youtube is the best for video uploading.

If you want a good comments, rating and favourites system I'd definatly say YouTube. It's your best bet on the popularity side as well. I actually use Google Video as my primary upload source but only because of the bigger resolution. If I release a new video it's most likely uploaded on multiple mirrors like MySpace, Daily Motion, Google Video and YouTube.
I personally don't like the quality on any of them.....their compression setting must suck, because the quality is bad on all of them.. I do a much, much better job of compressing video myself and the video I post on my own website looks better than video I post on any of their sites. Of course as I ran a video production company and have access to very good codecs like H.264 which seems to do the best job in my opinion....
Youtube is best for movies under 10 minutes, Google is best for longer videos.

Believe it or not, you can download YouTube videos, I do and I put them on my iPod for listening to when I'm travelling on public transport, etc...
I upload my clips onto YouTube, simply because it's what most people go to, so it'll get the biggest audiences and yada-yada.
Google Video's not without it's charm either. Full eps of Penn and Teller's Bull$hit? Yes please!
I wouldn't touch MySpace's video feature with a ten foot pole. I'd rather embed clips from YouTube into my profiles.
Yes, last time I checked YouTube was pretty easy to download off. You just need to find the SWF file.

No need like that.. copy the youtube.com link address and go to www.keepvid.com and paste that link.. and after that click download..
