First post here...The reason why I'm here is to...well get a free web host 
I am involved in Junior Achievement (http://www.jacan.org/), and I am the Vice President of IT. I am starting a website for various reasons, but mostly just to keep track of all sales and production with our company.
Now to round out my first post, I will ask you all a question. Is getting free hosting from FriHost really worth the time to make quality posts on a regular basis? (By the way, I think it's a great idea...kudos.) I want to hear it all, from an unbiased point of view if possible. What's good? What's bad?

As to whether it's worth it....
Like as in life, the only way to KNOW that is with 20/20 hindsight.
For me, I've made 2 postings b4 this, 1) my intro, which has yet to be replied to, & 2) a reply to an existing thread, which has not been added to since.
I CAN afford to pay for hosting. I may or may not request a free space here. I'm not immediately impressed with the forums here, though.
Too diverse, no collective focus beyond 'I wanna keep my free space', perhaps.
But a great IDEA, none the less.
(I've 'served my time' on EXTREMELY focused and committed boards.)
But if it serves your personal needs, then it's worth the effort.

It's definitely worth the time (it doesn't take much time, unless you get addicted like me).
What's good and bad?
Good: Free hosting with lots of nice features for spending a little time on the forums.
Bad: Reliability on server 2 sux (That's right, I said it), though supposedly this will be fixed soon.
Anyway,
It still is the best free hosting value anywhere, despite the reliability problems, or I'd have a different host (though I would still participate on the forums). yea just as ocalhoun stated it is definitely worth the time adn the hosting is good (even with the server 2 problems). At first I wasn't really into the community, but once I started posting more I just kept doing it (I am also getting addicted). It is a great community and I hope you stick around, I'll see you around if you do so.

I doubted at first but I think it's really worth to make posts. I’ve been searching Internet for a very long time and this is the only free hosting without forced ads, with php scripting and other features. There are always posts without replies and you can easily find them. I realized that it’s very important to have really quality posts and that with one good post you can get more points than with several short replies. I really believe that there’s no a single problem in keeping your points above 0 and it’s interesting to see what other people think.
There’s nothing bad.
Cool...thanks for the responses guys. I'm definetly going to stick with it for a while at least...see how it all turns out. I have been searching for a forum community in which I could stick around and enjoy it, and hopefully this is it!

It's a great place to get started. Hopefully you won't run out of bandwidth - I think hardly anyone here runs out with the generous amount we get. I highly recommend frihost to any first-timer website maker.
