Hi, I haf juz bought a linksys router, and have 3 computers linked to the Internet. Does anyone know how to file share and print share securely through the network? One is Windows XP Home, while the other is Professional.

Yeah, its pretty easy.
Goto Network Connections through the start menu. Use Network Setup wizard. Connecting to internet through residential gateway. Just make sure you name the workgroup the same for each pc. Then find the folders or drives you want to share and right click them and select Sharing and Security. Done.
For the printer just install the drivers on each machine. Goto printers and faxes through the start menu. Add printer. for 2 it will be a network printer hard wired to other.
Done.

That's the easy way. But be sure port 139 is closed on your router because just sharing files and printers in windows isn't very secure...

it might not be too secure but be sure you close that port and i actually recommend closing all ports u are not using(ur router should do it automatically).
