Confused php is already installed at frihost and enabled, on both servers. This will always be the case.

If you mean a php forum, see this tutorial for full instructions.

PHP is a server-side program that's installed on a server, not webspace. Razz

Oh, so If php is already installed on the server..If Im going to create a php page, then i should save it under the cgi-bin directory?
SpellcasterDX
If you want, but it doesn't have to be there. PHP files can be created and stored anywhere within the public_html folder. Wink
jayrelle
Oh! Thanks for the help! ill will try it.. Wink

Yeah, you can put the files anywhere...

As an example, create a file with the following contents:
Code:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

And save it as phpinfo.php (in your public_html directory). When you access it ([yoursite].frih.net/phpinfo.php), it will show you all the current PHP settings.

Yeah, it's basically the same. The only thing different is when you're reading files using fopen() or similar (Linux is case-sensitive, Windows is not)

Please remember that the FriHost Web Hosting Support board is not the right place to ask about general PHP questions Wink
Having said that, I guess you mean something like this:

Form:
Code:

<form action="test.php" method="post">
   <label for="username">Username: </label><input type="text" name="username" id="username" size="50" /><br />
   <label for="blabla">Something Else: </label><input type="text" name="blabla" id="blabla" size="50" /><br />
   <input type="submit" value="Submit form!" />
</form>

PHP Code:
Code:

<?php
 echo 'Username entered: ', $_POST['username'], '<br />';
 echo 'The other field: ', $_POST['blabla'], '<br />';
?>

To learn more about PHP, you may like to read some tutorials on w3schools.com, or post on some other boards on this forum.
