I know this seems a very weird topic, but I have a very weird site design, which makes it almost impossible to place ads anywhere without making my web pages look dumb.
If anyone could help, I would be very greatful.
My Site is:

How do you mean its impossible? You can move the orange part a little to the left side and place Google ads to the right side of it. They are customable; I think it can look nice.
I'd put a small little ad code under the links. just a simply small strip across.
Place a link unit right under the menu, it will look like part of the menu and you will get lots of clicks. Like this site riseagainst.info/
Thanks Guys, I'll see if it works.

Hey, thanks Blaster, Im a pretty slow gainer with my money income.
So, getting 38 Cents Yesterday was great, lol.
I clicked for you yesterday
Yourwelcome
Anyhow i've made 6:10 already.
Is there any way you can get it to NOT say adds by google?
darn that sux, because most people wont click on them just because it says its an add.
it depends. I do click on ads just to be a nice person.
I did look at this site cnet.com.

I found that, at the bottom of the page there are google ads. But the format is rather different.
And it certainly does not say ads by google though it says "sponsored"
Is this a provision for this site alone or are exceptions given ?
Maube this is so because of the large no. of visitors drawn by it
If anybody could find a plausible explanation for this, i would be happy to hear
Thanks guys for the idea of placing the ads under my navigation. I'm earning 20 Cents more each week (which is a big deal).
Maybe my users are to smart to click on Google Ads? Does that happen to anyone? Their audience doesn't click on ads?

That's for big websites like MySpace, and Digg, I think youtube as well. It's very hard to get your ads like that, not even plentyoffish.com who makes 10k per day.

: Blaster, if you wish to advertise your site, please create a thread about it (if there isn't already one opened). Try not to [I use the term lightly], "hijack", another members thread. Thank you.

I wasn't asking you to click on my ads.
And as for the one thing...I have no idea.

Well it looks good there. Also i would add the code to all the pages its not on all of them. I like the look of the thing you have now rather then the little text link. That should get you more money i would think too. It more appelling to the eye.

But clicking on ads is fun!
I kinda find it amusing that by clicking on a webpage, I can cause someone else's money to be transferred.
Trivia: Some people have jobs, where they do nothing but surf the web, locating rival companies' ads and clicking on them heaps in order to waste their rivals' money.
Those people need a life.
Sorry, couldnt help myself.
Has anyone got good tips to increase CPM?

Clicking on ads just to be a nice person could actually destroy the entire program. Imagine this: everyone today clicks on every Google Ad that they see, just to be a "nice person." Tomorrow, all of the businesses realize that they didn't sell anything but were charged a boatload of cash by Google for all of the worthless clicks. Thus, many of those sellers either go out of business or choose to lower all of their bids. Thus, what would have been a useful advertisement to connect buyer and seller has now been destroyed by "nice people." Although I am a fan of "nice people" as a website provider, the fact is that the more nice people click on the ads, the lower the bids on Google AdsWords, the less profits Google makes to improve their matching of buyers to sellers and you know who loses? All of the "nice people" that use the internet to buy things and provide services. Thus, when you click, you just increase the price of everything you buy from AdWords advertisers.
Use Ads to inform your surfing, purchasing, and guide you to what you're looking for. For the same reason you have to sign an agreement to not click on your own Google ads on your own website, you shouldn't click on ads unless you're actually going to go to the link.
And, I am not employed by Google.

Hi LostOverthere,
The ads look good, they don't ruin your site at all. I had a look at the Movies part and that ad was displayed perfect. Not too much, but still you could see it
I created this topic in 2006. It is now 2008. I think its past its prime.

lol, yeah.
Anyway, how is your adsense earning?
Hope it's good.
My adsense has not really been performing. Does anyone have any idea as to how much ad-words campaigns can cost you? I'm thinking of putting down a few thousand dollars in a couple of months to promote the site, but I'm worried that it won't get much traffic, even after running through a few thousand dollars.
Any tips?
My website is

I'm working on the database and formatting, as it looks rather cheap.
Does anybody know of any good CSS freeware?

This is a really good comment.
Thanks for valuable words. 100% aggreed.
I don't know if it was just my browser of window size settings, but the content was in the center and there was an abundance of just blank, black screen on the sides and top/bottom. Why not put the ads there?
