HAARP

We all know how Truthful our government is, and especially the US government. So what if it was the USA's fault for putting a gigantic hole in the earth'z ozone layer, would they tell us or cover it up?!! ...no they would just tell us its our fault, from increased consumption of energy, cars, industry pollution, etc.. while these are all factoring into poor air quality, and more cloudcover in the atmosphere, none of which can be linked directly towards ozone layer depletion.

now check this http://www.earthpulse.com/src/subcategory.asp?catid=1&subcatid=2

I find it rather interesting that this 'project' was developed around the same time the government started telling us to stop being consumption hogs as the earth is now getting warmer due to a big hole in the ozone layer, which subsequently is near the north pole, ...hey where is this military project located...alaska....hmm interesting...

What do you think? Read the whole thing it boggled my mind
The Conspirator
Another government conspiracy theory.
There are conspiracy's in the government but there not in the military (well there are but those are small and have more to do with illegal activity's on the part of individuals) there in the political part.

The article cited by djacaution seems awfully conspiratorial, even throwing in that fav scientist of conspiracy theorists, Nikola Tesla. A quick browse through the whole of the Earthpulse site reveals that they promote (for sale) everything from personal radiation detectors and books on pyramid power to "health" supplements.

The article regarding HAARP portrays the research as focused on creating an active system for either defensive or offensive weapon purposes. From what I have read in other sources, including the HAARP website, this is not the case. The project uses HF frequencies to excite portions of the ionosphere in order to study it and gain a better understanding of how it functions as well as conduct applied research. HAARP is designed to create controlled conditions in the ionosphere similar to those that occur naturally, such as the ionosphere's response to solar influences. ELF research is geared toward actively manipulating the ionosphere for communications or (possibly) surveillance.

Increasing our knowledge of how the ionosphere functions would be beneficial in such fields as communications that depend upon the ionosphere for long range communications (reflecting HF waves off of it) or that must pass through it. As a naval officer, we use secure HF for long range communications all the time. However I can tell you that because of atmospheric conditions it is often problematic and even referred to jokingly as "voodoo comms" due to these problems. A better understanding of the ionosphere's physics and chemistry might help to build better communication systems for both civilian and military usage.

Likewise, other communication systems such as satellite communications must transmit through the ionosphere. For them you don't want any signal degradation due to reflection or refraction, (whereas you depend upon the reflection for HF communications). These satellite comms (from phones to cable TV) can be interfered with as well by changes in the ionosphere.

Yes, ionospheric heating is another region of research for the HAARP program. This relates to ELF transmission which the U.S. Navy uses for submarine communication. (Submerged vessels can receive ELF transmissions.) The basic idea is to try and create ELF signals by influencing the polar electrojet.

The HAARP program, according to the website, is in no way classified. And, once again according to the HAARP website, the small changes wrought by their HF transmitters on a small portion of the ionosphere are infinitesimal compared to the events caused on a global scale by the sun.

Obviously any information I reference to counter conspiratorial arguments will be considered propaganda and disinformation by anyone who believes in the conspiracies surrounding HAARP. (This is true of all conspiracy theories.)

Being fair minded, if you wish to read more about the HAARP conspiracy theories visit this website:

But a Google search of HAARP will immediately produce a plethora of other such sites.

It is our own fault; as a percentage, I'm sure the amount of ozone-burning pollution created by the government is miniscule compared to the total.
the article wrote:

Electromagnetic waves then bounce back onto earth and penetrate everything -- living and dead.

Not electromagnetic waves!!! Now we're all doomed! (I suppose I should disable my laptop's wireless connection to be safe (it's beaming electromagnetic waves through me as I type.))

Woohay! Beware! Do not EVER use ANY wireless connection (including mobile phones)! They DEGRADE your brain activity! I have seen it on several people!

...well... they didn't have much brain activity before...
...WHAT! It's still the fault of the effect of the ozone hole!
SonLight
It is not entirely clear from reading the referenced site whether this is really something to worry about. It does appear that it is being tested, and not yet at the highest energies that should cause concern. Surely they have not yet made much of a contribution to the ozone depletion.

If this technology is dangerous, having the ability to substantially modify weather and/or deplete upper atmosphere ozone, at least we have been put on notice. While the sites out there now probably greatly exaggerate the problem, their very existance will tend to discourage high-power experiments which could ultimately influence weather and climate adversely.

The thing that sells me on this is that the big hole in the ozone is, in fact (at least as far as I've heard elsewhere), over Alaska. And what is there in alaska to cause that? Nothing. So idunnooooo...

Why do I bother? Wink

This one is over the soith pole.

They don't have a HARRP down there.

K fine you guys have succeeded in bursting my bubble. Dwelling on that HAARP stuff was really fun while it lasted though!

lol Moonspider your efforts are not in vain, I was just hoping to get that last part of it supposedly being over Alaska cleared up a little. I did read through your whole post and am very impressed with your knowledge on the matter...a little tooo impressed......I bet you're one of them arent you!! Have they gotten to you too!!?
Laughing just kidding

Yep, that's me, one of the government employees designated to disseminate false information. Wink
