Do you agree with male contraception?

ryukenden
Recently I have read a news about male contraception.

"Scientists are working on a contraceptive treatment which would stop men ejaculating sperm."

What do you think about that?

I have started a blog for that.

It is a fair issue, women do it men should do it too. How ever I dont see any men taking pills is a daily basis, and if one would said he did I dont see anywoman believieng it.

Hey man if it gets that far (you're married, hopefully) and you need to take pills every day. I say make all the children you want, then get your tubes tied.

Hey I agree with it. Why should women always have to be on the pill.
ryukenden
Because they are women.

As a male myself, I can say that I'm a bit hesitant about the whole idea but on the other hand, I'm also hesitant about having a baby. With all the new means of deploying male contreceptives, I'm also hesitant to dive in and try them. The similar feeling was had with laser eye surgery when it first became popular. I'm concerned about any side effects not readily visible.

Laughing An unrepentant chauvinist! How refreshing. Laughing

My wife laughed when she read about that (she's a pharmacist). Her take was women do it regularly because they are the ones that wind up pregnant and men would be somewhat forgetful. I can't really dispute that.

However, I went the more secure route and got snipped. Wink Much safe for both parties. Yeah, I know it fails sometimes, but it still is the best option once you are sure.

make all the babies u can. and instead of taking a pill, just use a condom

I remember one of my poli sci profs explainin to the class how the pill was connected to the whole feminist movement. It allowed us women to have a choice of having children or not and be completely in control of what is going on in our bodies.
This would be a good thing if a guy thinks he is with someone who wants to have a child and he doesn't . Gives the male the more responsibility. You missed a day now I'm pregnant you jerk. Instead of the other way around.

This is interesting, but with the problem solved as far as I'm concerned... I really just don't see much validity for this new science... I suppose, possibly just for the advancement in science and the ability to say "oh yeah, we did that."

Anticollie.

The more safe options available the better as far as exclusive relationships are concerned.

When it comes to other types of relationship everyone should be using condoms anyway.

As for me well I am married and have three kids and that is enough for us. I figured my wife went through labour three times; the least I could do is to go through a minor trauma in comparison and have the snip.

I agree the concept but I wouldn't want to be the first person to try it, because I don't know enough the side effect of it.

Vasectomy is so easy, so effective and so permanet so just see the doc and -get r done- . Of course that is not the answer if you want children at a later date. We should develop as many alternatives as possible to plan a healthy family. So, yes lets get the pill.
Anything is better than having children that you are not ready to support and educate. I want happy healthy children at the appropiate time in my life.

As a male, that would feel very strange to be shooting blanks...

I'm pretty sure you couldn't tell the difference. I can't Smile I got snipped a few years ago and if I wasn't there, I'd never know there was a difference.

BTW- Qualla, Just have some sperm frozen before you get cut and you then have complete control over when you have kids!
