Aptitude testing

What do any of you know about aptitude testing?

Are there any good tests available, at reasonable prices, that would not require further interaction with distributor, but could be administered and evaluated locally?

I ask this because a friend here in Honduras wants to help some teenagers, who are from a very rural area, to get additional education through trade schools or other places they could learn something that could break them out of their poverty cycle. Thus, he would need a good aptitude test

Written in Spanish,
Designed for teenagers looking to start careers instead of for adults looking to change careers,
Would be in some printed, physical form (i.e not online, although a stand-alone computer program may be okay - I'll have to check),
Could be evaluated on-site, without having to send anything back to anyone else.

Also, which kinds of general aptitude tests (I know there are various industry-specific ones, as well) usually give the best results? Are the more psychological kind, with a "This is most like me"/"This is least like me" approach better than the more cognitive ones that require actual demonstrations of mathematical, spatial, logical, and sequencing abilities? Should more than one kind of test be used for a more complete picture?

Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
