Yes you can. I believe you have to name the file with a .py or .cgi extension I believe. (eg test.cgi)
Er... Installation really depends on the script.
It is for things like chat scripts and things. Why does it depend on the script??
Well, most scripts will either require no installation at all, or they'll have an installation file. Which script are you trying to install?
