I hear that soon we will have a report button to report bad posts to the moderators. You may already be including this, but here's my suggestion:
That you include a reason for reporting form that would look like such:
Reason you are reporting this post to the moderators:
[_] It is spam
[_] It is not the right language for this section of the forums
[_] It is a copy-paste job
[_] It does not follow the rules of this particular forum
[_] It is offensive (pornographic)
[_] It is a flame post
[_] The signature is against the rules
[_] The avatar is against the rules
[_] User is a suspected spam-bot
[_] Other: [_____________________________]
[submit] [cancel]
Naturally, there would probably also be other reasons I haven't thought of, this is just for an example. One should also be able to select multiple reasons.
This form would appear once a user clicks the report button (in a pop-up or a new page), so it would not clutter anything up.
Using something like this could make the moderators' jobs easier, as they wouldn't have to figure out what was wrong with a post after it was reported, also, if a user can select multiple reasons, it would cut down or eliminate multiple reports per post per user.
