Need banner for website

I've read through the sticky above, and I'm more confused now than I was before... SO! I propose a solution.

I need/want: Large banner that covers 80% of a frame that takes up 10% of the height of a webpage. (Speaking of which, think I should make it a set amount of pixels?).
It should say:Magical Creature Weekly - Interviews, stories, humor and more
It needs to have: At leat one dragon in it, and pen & quill.
Price I'd like to pay15-20Frih$ (Obviously I'm not experienced at what work you have to do to make this sufficent, so if that's not enough, let me know.)
Misc requirements:I'd like for the main .jpg to be transparent, or have a parchment-esq background if transparent is not doable.

Also, I'll be more than happy to put some sort of affiliate tag, link or logo on the site if it'll sweeten the deal. PM me, or post here, with any questions.

Ghostrider, if you can do it for free, I wouldn't mind that at all. But I'll probably donate anyways. Also, donating 5$ to everyone that makes a banner, even if it's not selected. (I hope that's not an insult.)

Okay. Web pages are all different sizes. So please tell me how many pixels by how many pixels you want it to be.

You want dragons? Like, give an example picture? And, a pen and a quill?

What text do you want? ( pick one from www.dafonts.com )

Please also tell me what colors? What colors do you want text? Backround? DO you want multicolor text?

Well, you didn't specify what size and all that, but I made one anyway. I couldn't find space for the quill, sorry. I got the dragon from Google Image search. This is just my first one, can I try again?

It needs to fit in a banner space of 10% vertical and approximately 350 pixels in widthI dunno if that's doable. I've never had to request artwork done before, because I normally just do a crappy job myself.

Colors aren't all that important, but I'd like to keep it more 'newspaper-esq'. Maybe a black on parchment. If transparency isn't possible then I'd the background to be this.

I really liked that one saratdear, but I'm looking for one about half to three-quarters that size.

The dragon type isn't important, just as long as it's a western style dragon, and the pen and quill would be best if crossed kinda like a pair of swords on a coat of arms.

I appologize for being so picky, I'm really trying not to be, but I have a vision. And I'd like for my site to look like that vision.

It might be too small though....If you want it bigger let me know how big and I will probably add some more images...(the current size is 350 x 90)

Oh wow! Everyone's look so cool! Right now, the main one I'm leaning towards is the one from justnewbie. Hope I don't offend anyone, but that's almost exactly what I'm looking for. If you could make it half again as long, it'd be perfect!

saratdear, yours is amazing, I'd like to use them both as mini banners or link-banners(and probably a sig or two). Only problem with the second is that the site's going to be called "Magical Creature Weekly", not "Magical Creation Community".

mistuh griddlez I think you did a spectacular job, but it feels a little cluttered to me. Maybe if it were widened (and a pen added crossing the quill Wink

).

Like I said, I'm not trying to be an a-hole, nor am I trying to be mean, so I hope I haven't offended anyone, I just want this to be the mirror of my vision.

Thank you, again, to everyone who's submitted something so far. If nothing else, (when I can) I'll pay you for your time - and probably keep them all for various spots on my site.

There is some empty space below the dragon, I hope it doesn't look too ugly. If you want anything changed, let me know. Glad to know that you are happy with it.
