Anybody read these books? Basically I'll give an outline of Angela's Ashes (there are NO spoilers here!)
This book is set a while back and is an autobiography of Frank's childhood. I quote from his book:
"When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I managed to survive at all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood: the happy childhood is hardly worth your while. Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood."
It is a great book, and I must agree that it is amazing that he survives at all. The book goes right through his childhood and I'm halfway through it.
'Tis is the sequel to it which I'm looking forward to reading after this.
Well... Anybody read it?
