Does anyone here use Dramatica or Final Draft?

Just looking to hookup with other users for possible collaborations or talking out issues about projects and ideas.

Thanks.

I've never heard of either of these... what company makes them?

You can check out Final Draft at: http://www.finaldraft.com/ It's scriptwriting software that's very cool helps you concentrate on writing.

Dramatica is a tool that can help you create plot, storyline and even characters. You can find info on it at: http://www.dramatica.com/

I use Final Draft quite a bit but Dramatica I use very little because it has a very big learning curve. It is definately worth the effort to learn if you write stories of any kind.

Hope that helps.

I used to use Final Draft, but since it's not freeware, I stopped using it after my trial period ended. You mention that dramatica have character creation and whatnot, so I'd like to recommend "celtx" to you.

In celtx you can create a script, characters, front page, plots, notes and such. It even has a built in internet explorer which homepage is set to google. That tab is called research.

In the Final Draft vs. Celtx "battle", I choose Celtx.

Looks like it's freeware, is that the case?

Celtx is freeware. I've been using it for about 2 years and highly recommend it. It's constantly being revised and improved, good community and feature rich. Give it a try, pretty sure you'll like it. Celtx is also good for collaboration...
