Ok, this is my own tutorial my web nick name is Oy so I call it Oy Styled Text its a process in flash 8. It's kinda cool I like it atleast I use it for alot of things latlely I will also use images to represent what I am saying.
Ok, so open up Macromedia Flash 8. Now set the font size to something above 40 I used 96 which is max now change the colour of the text to something you want I recommend these colours because they look nice with this effect:
After you have selected your colour type something in I will type in "Flash 8". Now select the Selection Tool and split apart the text three times short cut is ctrl+b press it 3 times. Now using the Selection tool click off the text so the text is not selected. Now at the side in the tool Column click on the Ink Bottle make sure the Stroke Colour is black. Now change the stroke size to 2 now use the ink bottle on all your letters so now they are all outlined like this:
Ok now we will start adding some cool affects to it select all the text so it is all white dotted. Then right click on it and click convert to symbol keep it on Movie Clip name it whatever you want. Now after you have done that make sure the symbol is selected at the bottom go to the Filters Tab then add a filter by pressing the plus sign click on Bevel then set the settings to what is shown below.
Now the text should now look something like this:
Now last but not least lets add a drop shadow you would think of going to the plus sign and click drop shadow... But No we go to gradient glow and add these settings:
