What's the most secure Forums yet still full of functions?

I run phpBB2 CH2 with no problems yet however the forum I'm a member of the IPB admin's account was hacked and all topics were nuked off which i guess it sucks

so what's the best secured forums while still having many useful forums options?

I would have to say that the most secure forums you could ever hope for is FuseTalk, but it costs a pretty penny - just about as much as a desktop PC.

But if you want a more secure forum that's more into your price range YaBB is probably one of your best bets since it is written in Perl, and believe me nobody's gonna wade through that crap to hack an obscure forum. Also YaBB has options to autoban proxies, and bad referrers, etc. as they come to your site. The big downside to it however could be it's flat-file database. I don't know how it's constructed, but if it's anything like FlatForum's you can be guarunteed that it won't slow down on you.

vBulletin IMO is the most secure forum as I have yet to hear of a case of a recent VB version getting hacked.. (The only cases I know of VB getting hacked is with versions 3.03 and below)

phpBB is perhaps is easiest forum software to hack.. Heck, there's videos on youtube showing you how it can be done..
Check this out: The "powerful" hacking team are somewhat dedicated to hacking any and all sites that use phpBB forum software..

Looking at the "hacked by powerful" they're all old forums so I didn't really find anything on hacking phpbb 2.0.21 especially CH2 added more security

I looked into latest version of IPB 2.1.7 I already found a hacked site Sad

i didn't do much research on vBulletin

also I look into FuseTalk Smile

see what's going on with that hehe
I've seen YaBB before and just looked the newest & looks much better but of course I would try to find out if there is current hack for it

I hope I get more opinions & thank you all for your participation

phpBB is equally famous , and hacked the most .

i even heard that Shoemoney , was being hacked by iskorpitz .

So , what ever u use , when u become popular , hacking is one thing u have to answer for sure .

Try out , other forums , like , vanilla , Simple machines , and Phorum .

dude I appreciate your input but please provide some more info on security so far after ACP login to admin page on phpbb looked like solved the hack of phpBB so I don't see any hacked site so if you know an actual hack on latest release of phpBB then let me know I would love to report to phpBB website

also the other mentioned softwares what's make them better in security other than being not so popular because many are related to each other which means have similar security measures Shocked
