Doing some poking around about domain names, I encountered http://www.hostingdude.com, which seems to offer a pretty good deal: $1.99 for the first year, with renewals ranging from $4.75 (.info) to $7.75 (.com) to $34.95 (.tv). They do say, however, that there is an additional $0.25 added on at checkout that goes to ICANN.
They also offer whois privacy for $1.95 per year.
All in all, it sounds very good, but have any of you had any experience with this one to be able to give it a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down"?
Edit: Looked more closely, and found out the $1.99 rate is only if you buy some other, non-domain-related service (e.g. email) from them, as well.
