A question about php on my frihost account

rafifaisal
Hi,
I have an account with frihost and let me first of all underline that I love the possibilities Frihost offer.
I have installed phpbb forum on my space and i am installing a mod.
BUT it starts by saying

If your phpbb table prefix is different, then change it to
# reflect the correct one.
#
#

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_topics` ADD INDEX (topic_last_post_id);
ALTER TABLE `phpbb_forums` ADD attached_forum_id MEDIUMINT(Cool DEFAULT '-1' NOT NULL;

How do I have to check this using phpmyadmin ? ?

Help would be appreciated

Keep up the great work Frihost Wink

If you left the default values during installation you shouldn't need to worry.
To check in phpmyadmin though, login to Direct Admin, to to MySQL management, choose phpmyadmin. To login, use the forums database username and password. If you don't know these check the forums config.php file Wink

No problem. In general, the "table prefix" is not something to do with the system upon which you are installing the software (i.e. not anything relating to FriHost), but depends upon other things you may have done, already, in MySQL.

For example, if you have made your own programs with tables such as "users" or "comments," then you try to install something else that has the same table names, the programs could interfere with each other. By specifying a "table prefix," you would ensure that the table names for the application you are installing are unique (e.g. "phpbb_users" instead of just "users").

Since phpBB puts "phpbb_" at the beginning of each of its tables (i.e. that is the table prefix), as mathiaus said, you should not run into any problems (unless, of course, you already had table names that started with "phpbb_" from something else you had done, which is very unlikely).
