Hello all,

As you can see newbie here.

I've been racking my brain to find a logon script,

a way to read and then store data from another website(after signing into it etc)

send auto emails to members

The issue is, I've programmed a lot with Microsift products and Delphi, but I want to be sure php is the way to go for dynamic web content.

Is php the way to go, or should I look at something else?
(no money so it needs to be free)

I'm also more interested in speed of development over efficient code. (RAD)

Any suggestions from you gurus will be greatly appreciated.

So you find a right sized hammer you like and use it
Good tool, and you like it.

It's the same with PHP: PHP is a good tool for dynamic web content; some people like it, some people don't.
Try it for a few small projects and decide if you like it.
