Could some custom BBcode be added to these forums? To make it easier for people like me who keep screwing up posts by putting:
| Code: |
| [colour=red]Blah[/colour] |
The number of times that I had to change that mistake on forums is unbelievable!
I thinked that its already added... Look more through.
Or I didn't understood you.
The suggestion is for English English, to be supported, rather than just American English, which is the current situation.
Though I'm British and spell colour the same way, I now have it in my head to spell it differently when writing code (Yet another advantage of not using WYSIWYG editors
).

Wait, don't you mean do use WYSIWYG? You said not. Why not install a WYSIWYG editor for the forums? It is because it is PHP and not HTML that it won't work isn't it?
He doesn't that's why he is used to spelling it as "color". I use the little "Font Colour" menu above the writing. Funny how they spell it colour there. I believe there are WYSIWYG extentions for Firefox that allow you to format things using BBCode.
I never noticed that! How strange... Who wants to fill a bug report for the guys at PHPbb? Lol, that is what you get if you involve too many people in designing something!
*is proud to be British*
Yes.

The advantage of not using WYSIWYG editors is that you learn the code, in thius case the spelling of colour differently in html, css, bbcode etc.
color colour hmm i like being american its a lot simpler over here. I suggest you use the font color thing.

it's one letter, how is that much simpler. It's not even proper english.
Well, you could just choose the color from the "Font colour" option. (Funny how it's spelled "colour" there and not "color."
)
Since I use American English, it doesn't affect me, however adding that option would be fine. (At another site, I use to make that mistake when I first joined, since it used British English).
Anyhow, I think it is a pretty good idea for some people, though the color option might be suffice.

It might not be prober for you but it is proper for me.
just like center and centre and favorite and favourite. There really isn't a proper way of saying it.
And i dont' really care if you add it but can you please keep the color thing the same also.
and wiliam i noticed that also when i was writting my last message.
