When do u think it will ]be for sale flying car ?
how Much ?
10.000.000
Lol
airplane could be one of that.
i think we are not ready to have fliying cars, just think about how responsable we are in ground, figure it in the air, daily death!
I know a guy that use to work at a government facility as a security guard. They're already working on hover cars. Along with some other very strange things. Like zombie dogs... but that's another section of the forum ^^
There have been a number of plane/car hybrids over the years, but they all have one thing in common: they are neither very good cars nor very good planes. They could both drive and fly, but they didn't do either of those very well at all.
WAY TO MANY PEOPLE would end up dead with FLYING cars. Hovercars are what we should have. No more crashing from wet roads or snow. They have boat cars, and some actuall flying cars. The wings fold out. There's a car there still working on, but it's in magezienes, and it does about 300mph, and starts stopping for stop signs, cars, and more. And if it can't stop in time, it'll dodge the object.. pretty sick car.

I think an actual flying car is a pretty distant dream, although we're pretty close on the technology. The real problem's involved are fuel consumption and civilian air traffic laws. Under the new sports pilot certification, use of the cars with inexperienced pilots would be possible, but low altitudes and speeds would be necessary. There would also be few places to land it. Getting a helipad in the middle of a city recognized as a legal landing place takes work, and having one in your driveway would be nearly impossible.
yeah ive seen the video of that one in the air...it looks pretty cool...they only went up about 40 feet and where stationary...but it looks very cool.
WHAT???? THATS AN AIRPLANE MY FRIEND!!!
What can make flying car different from airplain? I sometimes thought about flying car. I think that flying car would be different from airplane. For example, flying car can not fly certain hight or does not need a runway or can stop in the air for parking.... In my oppinon, someday we will see flying car....like SF movies...
The Aerocar Aerocar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerocar_Aerocar
There's one still in operation! That's pretty neat, even if it only holds one person.
I believe that the flying car will become a reality in the next decade. However, I'm sure that strict laws will be in place by then regulating who exactly gets to own one. Here's one type car being built right now. The site has video as well. http://www.urbanaero.com/Urban_Main.htm
I read somewhere that the starting price will be around $1 miliion US. and the driver will need to comply with FAA regulations. I guess you would need a pilots license with enough flight time logged before they would trust you in one.
The best use would be for Police/Fire/Ambulance services. It could replace helicopters as well, since they'd be able to land on any street without the need of a helipad. Just fly in, drop down, and drive away!

That as neat concept. But I think it was a 2 person craft. If you look at the specs, they list one crew and one passenger.
I always wanted a flying car! Magazines like "Popular Mechanics" have been promising us those vehicles since the 50s, but still no joy.
If they ever do become available (again), it will be ineresting to see how the FAA deals with them. Airspace restrictions around class B, C, and D airports go clear to the ground and I'm sure the flying cars would need to obey those rules. I guess the vehicles would need a GPS unit and FAA Database on board to tell them when they were in controlled airspace and when they weren't.
we cant take everyone from the ground to the air..first off there arent lines to follow..and in the air it's way easier to go faster...the second post is right...DAILY DEATH
I used to have a flying car but people looked at me funny. So, I decided to turn it into an Aztec and now people really stare. Whoops. Poor choice on my behalf!

Sme ppl never stop day dreamin
How air laws will be regulated for gals learning to fly?

There won't ever be flying cars. The fuel usage is just too high for it to ever be practical. The entire time the car is in the air, it's going to need to counter it's gravity by generating lift. That's going to either take an engine producing 1g of vertical lift (500 hp?) or one that can accelerate the car to lift velocity (which means the car would have wings). Plus, no car is going to have good fuel economy at lift speeds, and where would the runways be located? Who wants to drive around a car with wings? What would a car with wings and/or a jet engine weigh? It's pretty in movies, but it'll never happen in real life.

LOL. Reread my earlier post. It was done over 50 years ago! There is nothing particularly difficult about it. Most small planes only need about 50 or 60 mph to generate the lift to fly.
It sounds like you are locked into what you think a flying car has to be. The concept is not that complicated. The original Aerocar hauled the wings behind the passenger area as a trailer. With todays materials and technology, you could probably design a collapsible wing that could fold into the main chassis.
Could a giro or a helicopter fall into this , they both do the same.
Ian.
Wow flying car ... ALL SUCK flying car will pay $10.000 !

I like the helicopter, but Flying car, is money,,,,,
it was done over 20 years ago! and no 50 yars ago!.
well, i once did a speech on flying cars and this is some of what i found. the most prominent company trying to make one is call Moller International, and they plan to have they're out in several years if i remember correctly. anyway, most of the people who are trying to make them for public use make them with built in computers, sensors and GPSs, so basically you get in, tell it where to go and it flys you there using the it's sensors to steer you and traveling by rules that are in development by the FFA i think it is. so it wouldn't be like a mad house in the sky. you wouldn't even be steering! anyway, most of them that are in development aren't very practical. like the moller skycar wouldn't even fit into your garage! (btw, that's the diff between a skycar and a plane. skycars are supposed to take the place of cars in every day life. planes are for mass transportation). not that cars would disappear of the face of the earth! from what i found, you'd only be able to land in certain spots, like at airports or helipads. so from there, i guess you'd be driving to work, or the store, or wherever.
i think they're coming soon! the prices will be extremely high at first and there'll only be a couple. but wasn't it the same way with cars?
anyway....i hope this answered some of your questions!
hi guys,
what do you think about the teletrasportation?? is a fiction??

As far as my knowledge goes its still impossible...
but someday it may be possible to do it...
Since its hard 2 transport matter as fast as signals. We can disinegrate the matter and then rebuild the object at the required site. But this is just my hypothesis, so i am not gonna argue if it can work or not
Two things about flying cars: Irresponsible and careless drivers we have now combined with gravity equals SPLAT!
^Heh, could you imagine drunk drivers in the skies? NOT good.
