I keep getting this error when I try to ./configure php5 I get this error
I checked and libxml2 is there in /usr/lib/. when I try to reinstall libxml2 I just get a kernel panic. I tried adding the flag --disable-libxml but it still fails and says that dom requires libxml.
I'm having a really hard time installing libxml2 and libxml2-devel. I can only find rpm for the devel and that keeps failing because of endless dependencies.
I've been googling this like crazy and everyone says to install libxml2-devel. all info I've found so far seems to point to installing libxml2-devel for a fix. but I'm not having any luck install the devel rpm.
I'm on suse 9.0
is there anything that I'm doing wrong? or a step that I'm forgetting. I've never really used rpms before, so maybe thats why I can't seem to get the libxml2-devel to install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
