Folder Program

jarred89
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a program out there that can put a username and a password on folders in my documents.

Thanks
Jarred

there's loads of software that does that... (try google)
however all i saw was commercial software that costs money.
I recommend 7zip from http://www.7-zip.org/
It's actually a file archiver used to compress files, but it can also encrypt.
You will have to encrypt your files every time you make changes.

I don't know weather that's what you're looking for. In Windows XP, if you want to prevent users from accessing you files, you usually used different user accounts and file permissions (right click a file, select the security tab).

hope that helps

pcsecurity is one such software which works great to help privacy. It has lots of options and can be configured in many ways. You can not only set various restrictions on folders but also on the PC itself like locking the pc on wrong password entries , etc.,.
But pcsecurity comes at a price. You can find more info at the link below:

Hope this helps.
