i don't know if this topic is entirely from this section. if not, please tell me where should it be. but, i had an idea to make some kind of movie on the computer where in one scene there is some kind of traveling from one point of the world through anotherone using google earth and i don't know how to capture that animation the program does into some archive where i can put it on my video. so, please if someone knows, help.
google earth
I'm no expert but wouldn't be possible to use Fraps to capture the onscreen animation and then editing it so it won't show the menu bars...
If you will use Fraps I think its designed for Games.. I use Fraps for my NBA Live games where you can capture Images or Video's of the Game.. Fraps is for Gaming. Am I right with that? or not.. Thanks!
its possible,
try googling "quick screen recorder" that should do it

Nah, FRAPS is for when your in full screen applications. It won't work in a desktop enviroment.
But yeah as someone mentioned, you should be able to find some good video screen capture tools on Google. I need something similiar potentially so if anyone finds anything post it here.
My friend did that I think, just need some kind of screen capture, not sure what, but it is possible.
i said quick screen recorder, its actually a program.
you set the size and where it is on the screen and then press record, you can even get rid of the mouse in the video.
try it

Yeah, you'd need a screen recorder.
A good one would be Wisdom-soft AutoScreenRecorder. (It is a little choppy sometimes).
A better one would be the River Past Screen Recorder.

Stick with camtasia. I use it, its easy and you have the link on this page. Look no further.
You'll want to use gamecam, http://www.gamecam.com i think ??? Or just google 'gamecam'. What it does is open your applications in a special 'studio' like system, with record toolbars etc. It's pretty good, give it a go.
I think it works with non-full screen apps. Check it out.

Hey did you guys try Snag it screen capturing software?? in my past i have been trying to record the video of someone showing up his webcam at yahoo... and Snag it worked best for this purpose and i m damn sure it will do good for your problem too!
FRAPS works with anything which uses DirectX and since Google Earth has DirectX support it should handle it. I don't know whether it only records the planet or the hud as well.
