Now, I maybe buy server for my web site and gaming server. I don't now what is better.
Packard Bell, 2x Pentium
2x Pentium 133 MHz
- 2x 2GB SCSI hard drive
- 128 MB Ram
IBM Netfinity 3000
- PII 400Mhz
- 128MB SDRam
- 1.5 GB IDE hard drive
Compaq Proliant ML-350
Intel Pentium III 800Mhz
2x128 MB RAM = 256MB RAM
2 x 9,1 GB Ultra160 SCSI hard drive, Compaq
2 x 18 GB Ultra160 SCSI hard drive, Compaq
IBM xSeries 200 Server
Intel Pentium III 1.0 Ghz
40 Gb hard drive
Dell Poweredge 1400
Pentium III, 2×800MHz
9,1GB hard drive
I prefer IBM Netfinity 3000. I think its PII 400Mhz will help you alot!
For just one site? As long as that one site is not as busy as google, you'd be fine with the Packard Bell. (Although, the newer ones might be more reliable, just because they aren't as old)
If you want to run many sites on it, the third one would seem to be the best value. (If you set it up right, you could use software-side RAID 5 on all those drives and make it very fast and reliable, that is, if you use linux on it.)
I would go with the ML 350
you'll beable to host you site/s with relative ease and the extra RAM and CPU speed will be able to handle the games server requirements easily. Also multiple drives give you redundancy options.
All depends on how much you want to spend.
No, I have my own server for gaming serversa and internet radio. Meybe for web sites I have the good web hosting.
