James Bond query

akshar
I saw a James bond movie where in he has to find a neuclear submarine with some help from a russian female spy.

JB and this russian blod are caught making love by James Bond's boss in a boat when asked James gives a reply

Can some one tell me what was the reply?
RT Cunningham
I can't tell you the reply because I can't remember which movie it was. It was either "From Russia With Love" or "The Spy Who Loved Me". I tend to think it was the former.
Lusiphur
The Spy Who Loved me.

"Bond! What do you think you're doing?"
"Keeping the British end up, sir."

Or something along those lines.

And what about the new one, Casino Royal?
Anyone seen it?

Any advice to watch in the cinema, or later on DVD

Yep, saw it the day it came out. I recommend it... definatly something new but not ruining the James Bond touch at the same time. I would advise watching it at the cinema now Smile

Am i the only person who thinks Daniel Craig actually suits the job as the new bond? I didn't think so at first but then i've seen recent trailers and i'm actually excited for the film, It looks darn good.

Well if it was Sean Connery then we would all say it was a time paradox that allowed him to look the same age in "Die Another Day" and years before that in "Casino Royal" Laughing

No, I think Daniel Craig is shaping up to be an excellent Bond. He suits the character more than Brosnan or Moore really ever did. Bond was not a poncy suit-wearing nancy boy, nor was he a slapstick comedian, spouting one-liners all the time. He is a ruthless and loyal killer for the British government, and the movies have seemed to have lost sight of this over the years. I find Craig a refreshing return to what Connery really exemplified in films like Dr. No.

Also, I'd have to say that I'm glad in the most recent Bond film that technology was represented realistically, not to make "invisible" cars or laser wristwatches.

Yeah, he definatly suits the job all right. I don't know what they are going to do for any more films seeing as all the books are now exausted but I expect there will be another book released or they will do a remake of an earlier film;.

Although remakes are possibility, what about making movie versions of Bond stories that were written by other writers - For example, the ones written by John Gardner and Raymond Benson?

Could actually turn out to be the best bond yet. For a start he can actually act.

Personally I'm glad to see they've turned away from the traditional formula which had long since become stale. Going back to the original book and following it a lot closer could well be the best thing to happen to the series in years.

I somehow believe that he (Daniel Craig) does not have the same screen presence as Brosnan. Yes he looks quite rugged and well built.
But I somehow prefer Brosnan.
