I use a 3D program from Side Effects Software http://www.sidefx.com called Houdini, for working on Films and Commercials. Anyone else on these formums use Houdini? It's a great procedural graphics software and includes everything from modeling to rendering to compositing all in one package. The retail version is quite expensive but there is an apprentice version that is almost full featured and it's free from Side Effects. A great package to learn 3D graphics with and artists that know how to use it well are in high demand.
