Netherlands considers burqa ban

TurkishGamer
Netherlands, a country who is "liberal towards drugs, prostitution, same-sex marriage, abortion and euthanasia," are preparing to make a law forbidding women to wear the burqa.

How could a country that is so tolerant towards drugs, prostitutes, and same-sex marriage allow this kind of law to be passed.

Some people consider them to repress woman. They obviously have no experience in the matter and the fact that some woman choose to wear them is not heard. However, some woman are forced to wear them, which also is not fair. There's a catch 22 situation.

In my opinion there should be no such ban. I think that there is a slight attitude to people wearing one but that is because they are not used to it. I used to be in the same situation but through experience that for most its a choice, especially in a society that its culturally diverse. If it is banned then the khimār (and all other forms of material that make a religious woman feel comfortable in) should also be banned. Its not fair to pin-point one specific religion.
