If you guys like you can put them on my site http://houseoffilm.com
Main reason is high quality h.264 video in a small filesize. Also it's more catered towards films than youtube or whatever as you'll see by click a film.

I agree, add them to his site.
Wow such a selection of very different home made movies.
So lets start off with my opinions on the different movies.
Blaster- Nice 9/11 tribute,, the dukes of hazzard was cool, the we didn't start the fire was alright but kinda dumb, and I really liked the Tower city trail riders movie, just because I have been there.
Pyroman- Dang you guys need to get a job or something. You guys spent way to much time on that. But it was pretty cool nonetheless, I was a pyro myself when I was younger (oh wait I still am). It would be better if it had more of a storyline or plot however. Instead of just random things happening.
The master- um yea funny but no further comments
Vinx_18- Pretty darn cool, you pulled off the special effects very well, and there was at least some plot even if it was a distant one. Jack Sparkle looked pretty good too btw.
Josso- Wow it really is amazing what you can do with random pictures and movies clips and a bunch of special effects. They turned out pretty cool.
Ok now for my movie (well actually my brothers) but you can watch it or download it here http://starwarsxxvi.homedns.org/
It is a really cool Star Wars Fan film, made by my brother and a bunch of his friends. My brother was the main videographer, and did all the CG. [/url]
The one movie I made is a poorly-shot, poorly-edited video of my cousin singing--badly.

It's a little scary...

EDIT: I am going to make more eventually, but I need a new camera first. My old one died of corrosion damage less than 6 months after I paid 600 dollars for it...I'm a little hesitant to get a new one. Any suggestions?
6 months old, didn't it have a warranty?
coolplay do you ride at tctri? If you do thats pretty cool. Also thanks for the feedback. The we didn't start the fire was for a school project actually.
No, but tons of my friends do, well or did when I was in high school (a couple years ago).
It's made people laugh, it's made people cry...Here is Mr. America Asks: What is an American?
Thats the only film I've made that I've put online right now. It was a project for school. Its ten times funnier if you know the people in it but here it is nonetheless.
If anyone from frihost wants to submit their film, I'm offering a free week in featured films to anyone from frihost. The site gets about 200 uniques a day. Just mention it to me.
Very nice American video, its awesome.
this is a video of the guys and girls cross country race from GA. my friends and i filmed it and we did all the editing. its nothing amazing but it is pretty cool because of all the angles.

Hey eLto, what do you use for your post?
This is short and crappy quality, but here:

Adobe After effects. for Mac: Apple Shake.
I've really been meaning to sit down and learn more with After Effects... Actually, just learn it in the first place. I used to use Final Cut Pro... I miss that set up.

It's a 9:30 video of me and my brother in law using my 160 quad mud bogging.

If anyone wants to take a look at the trailer for the movie I am currently in the process of making (Expect the completed film in January) it would be much appreciated.

All edited and filmed by myself. The sound problems in the trailer have been fixed. And I know the kid in the top hat can't act.
Thanks!

Here is a stop-mo short I did a couple of months ago. I took a seminar in animation at my school for fun (it took me until my senior yer to finally get into art, but I loved it when I did). It's my first full lenght short, some of it is actually me just playing around with things and then realizing I could actually use it in a film. I know it's low quality, but when I was making it, I was stupid and somehow made it +1.5GB so it's hard to save and upload at a good quality. Everytime I watch it, it just looks worse and worse, I know it's not amazing but I've been told I'm being too critical of myself. I'd like to hear other people's opinions about my video. Thanks.
On a side note, I was the only one working on this and had almost no help from others.
I liked it quite a bit, though, the music could have been more fitting.
Those are pretty cool! How long did it take you to film them?
Hey FinnyJohnnish,
I really liked that short. I wonder how long it took you? Question: did you just take still pictures and then string them together, or did you actually just use still frames from a video you shot? I think it's really quality, and would like to see you do more if you enjoyed it. It was creative and original
Thanks. As for the music I wanted to use an entire song, and it's the only one i felt was high energy enough and short enough to work. plus it's odd and doesn't fit but also fits at the same time. it was 30+ hours (i stopped keeping track after 24 hours which was like 3/5 of the way through the project) of work, 99.98% of it done with my own two. all stills all strung together on my iBook using iMovie. i can't remember the exact count of frames and i'm too lazy to open it, but it easily breaks 1k.
there's no real content to that video....
Is that actually your video, if so kudos, I like it. If not, uhhh... still it's interesting anyways.
Hi, I never knew about this Filmmaking forum. Anyway, I would really be glad if you guys could check my two shortfilm trailers.

or if you don't want to waste your time in downloading you can see them from here!

It would really mean a lot to me if you'd give me some feedback on those two!
Thanks!
first one looks interesting, but one thing about the trailer that gets to me is all of the graphics you used. some times clean and simple can really look the best. i know you may be going to a bond type theme, but what you've done with yours doesn't appeal to me.
what the hell were they? You were wearing normal clothes? haha

Well, that's the thing that some people like flashy graphically nice things whereas some prefer the simplicity. But you've got a point there, maybe I'll make something more simple next time.
Tell me more, I like reading what others say about my work!

I was stood up by a bunch of mates so did this - warning contains swearing.
Jus decided to use some alternative editing techniques.
Shot on a Crappy Hi8, cut with Sony Vegas
nice. i've been thinking of doing a lipsinking video which means bunches of editing. it's going to be fun because i'm probably just going to use my digital camera which if i put it in the highest quality, i can only take 30seconds of video at a time.
So about 3 years ago i did this video called Stoopid Dancing. It was when i first started using Sony Vegas and i needed to test the software so I shot myself dancing to Mr.Wendle twice and cut it.
This video has done its rounds and has been seen by thousands. I still get the odd email about it today.
So today i made version 2 - "The Strut" - note - i cannot dance. This is not about the dancing its not about the quality of footage or lighting its just a simple practice at making something pretty stupid and mundance look good through editing.

Of course it's not my best, but surely my most "infamous".
If you search youtube for "free coke".... then it's in top 3 LOL.
heheheh those were the good days
It's the first in my vlog (though its a few months old, my other youtube account was banned).
On a side note, it's a good thing I watermarked it!
On gvideo: search for "hoboskill8" for a complete list (most of em are quite bad, but a bit of useful info )
yes thats all u need to do to see my vid and video
@ irishmark - that is excellent editing!!!! What do you use? Damn... great job m8. subscribed.
Well it's not films as I haven't had time to do many films lately, but you can see examples of my work at my site
www.gforcevideo.com.
I run my own video productions company....I mostly do commercials, some event/weddings, and have done a couple short docs....that's about all. Maybe when my kids get into school I'll be able to do a couple shorts. Of course it's hard to find any actors around here and I'm not really into putting time and effort into a short unless it's going to be good. I have the gear to do some good stuff, but I need some people who are at least ok at acting before I will put all my time into it. I can't put out something that looks "half baked" if I am going to continue to grow my business.

Jus watched ur living room timelapse video - that tune sounds familiar!
One thing i'd like to add - with all your videos they would all look so much better if yuo did some colour treatment on the footage. Push the contrats and make the colours a lil more vibrant.
the On & Fibonacci videos are excellent - love em!
Hi FinnyJohnnish,
It's a good first effort.
Here's my first stop motion effort as well.

I did it almost 9 months ago as an experiment for a concept.

This is my video. I apreciate opinions! Thanks to all and peace!
you have the style pretty much nailed as skate videos go but the content was a little dull and there was nothing really new. To create a great video it has to have a new element to it. This was just like hundreds of videos on youtube. well executed but it lacked originality.
Keep it up though buit try doing something diffrent.
