The better way to learn spanish is getting some vocabulary.
And the translator is not a bad idea but i believe with a dictionary is ok, because is better to understand the language the way is it that always been translating in your mind

What is the difference between saber and conocer?
For example i wanted to say "do you know 007 films?", and i used "saber". But my friend from Chile said that i should use "conocer".

It's basically the difference between knowledge (saber) and familiarity, awareness, or recognition (conocer). In English, think of "cognizance," which comes from the same root as "conocer."
