Windows Sp2 slows internet....

I wasnt having problems like slow net speed lag etc since i installed sp2 on my computer then i think its a problem about WMI i disabled it from services and nothing happened and i think net is fast again....nothing happened like non-running programs etc....

is that a good thing?

I think you really only need wmi if you have a computer in a corporate setting and they then have the ability to manage your machine with WMI. It's kind of odd that would speed things up. Did you have a firewall running before you installed sp2?

I believe it's probably all the security Windows "features".
Also try to disable WMI on Services manager (type "services.msc" on Run).

1. Disable the firewall, it's useless anyhow.
2. What browser are you using?
3. If it's IE, then switch to Opera, as its the fastest browser for Windows and optimized for Windows. (Opera.com)
