Hello Everyone--
I have another philosophical theory that I'd like to discuss--thought.
I feel that in our society, primitive notions that can be attributed to instinct are actually hailed as thought. What, then, is thought.
Well, I believe that "pure thought" involves some type of change or conflict.
When provoked into considering oneself as per cognitive dissonance, for instance, one's actions do not match his/her beliefs. This results in an internal debate over how to change. In the end, some type of development or evolution is likely to take place. That being the case, one can actually say that thought has taken place.
What are your "thoughts" on this theory?
Thanks a million!
