connecting to FTP problems

i can't seem to connect to my website ftp to upload my files. i used port 21 to connect. do i have to change the port to connect?

i saw the other post by bondings about using filezilla. there was a dude who asked how to do it with AceFTP. I did wat was written to do about uploading files with aceftp but it doesn't seem to to work.

Ftp works for me....
Are you sure you use the right address and usrname etc?
Maybe you changed something in your ftp settings, and excidently changed some things?
I use port 21 and it works....

Also make sure your firewall is allowing port 21. Laughing

Don't change that port. Port 21 is the standard for FTP transfer. It won't work on other ports...

Just use FileZilla !! It is the FTP client that I like the most. I used many other clients but, this is the best !!

i use smartFTP..

easy to setup and use..

and i never have had any problems with it at all..

anyone looking for a good FTP program should try it..

and by the way Georgeboy is talking about it, FileZilla sounds pretty goood eswell.. ima have to try it out Wink
