Yes. Server 2 is down. Try not to make another thread about it
nobody knows really
but probably no longer than 20 mins

Yeah, I'm experiencing that now D: Does Fri have anything on the forums or there site showing the server diagnostics?
I copied these server stats right from my DirectAdmin page:
Processor Name AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3000+
Vendor ID AuthenticAMD
Processor Speed (MHz) 1791.570
Total Memory 1539428 kB
Free Memory 344600 kB
Total Swap Memory 1052248 kB
Free Swap Memory 961252 kB
System Uptime 7 Days, 3 Hours and 16 Minutes
Apache 1.3.37 *** Stopped ***
DirectAdmin 1.28.0 Running
Exim 4.60 Running
MySQL 4.0.23 Running
Named 9.2.2 Running
ProFTPd 1.2.9 Running
sshd Running
vm-Pop3d 1.1.7e Running
As you can see, for some reason the Apache server stopped. And that's the reason we can't access our sites

Yup, looks like an Apache crash - only Bondings can manually restart it, so we may need to wait a short while.

I was just about to post here and ask the exact same thing... would be nice with a function like that
Would also be nice with some statistics showing how many online/downtime hours the servers have... a lot of people are whining here, Iīm not one of them... i just think it would be cool to monitor uptime on both servers =)
Regards

DirectAdmin still works. all you need to do is go to http://www.yoursitename.frih.net:2222
and enter your login details

It give me those very rare creeps that there is a bigger problem. Hopefully not that from last year.

taking a long time to get back up and i have to go in 8 minutes i hope its sorted by then because i realy need to go on it
Well thank you for the info on why it is down
I've just checked server status:
| Quote: |
| Apache 1.3.37 *** Stopped *** |
Can somebody explain me how can it be? To some users it shows that server is running, and for others Stopped? I know that server crashed in both cases, just wondering why...

2 all: Bondings is the man! He'll solve the problem
Don't worry!
Ctrl+F5 - It seems to be stopped one minute and running the next. I would guess its either trying to restart itself or someone else is and something's wrong (hence the return of stopped).
maybe someone is flooding it again, making it crash as soon as it restarts
how do you make it flood putting too much stuff in the ftp or is just too much databases being used well i hope its fixed by tomorrow or the next day. well good luck on fixing the problem frihost

Usually, a bad script on somebody's website could cause the crashing - it's unlikely to be overloaded.
Apologies for the extended downtime everyone - thanks for your patience. We'll just need to wait until Bondings can come up with a fix.
Seems as if the server is still down!! .. Hope this can get fixed as soon as possible. Good luck with the maintanance
My apologies, I wasn't online this evening - that's why it took so long.
About the downtime, I couldn't find the problem and Apache started normally without errors. Only a complete server restart helped. But at least it's working again now.
Thanks for the restart Bondings!
yeah thanks frihost its now back online
Just curious as to how often this type of problem occur on server 2 coz yesterday was my 1st day on my free hosting and you'd admit it was a bad start.
Luckily for me, I still haven't gotten my site up yet. Will probably get it up in a week time and would appreciate some info on the server problem. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. I just want a little info on server 2 uptime.
although it's not down, server 2 is acting incredibly slow at the moment

Ya it's kinda slow at the moment for my website too. It take like 5 minute just for my index page to load fully even thought it is just 5Kb.
