Somebody just joined my site,then went to the forum to be told they could not access this, as they are banned,i went into admin to see their name in the banned section, obviously i unbanned them but,how can this happen? Its never happened before to anyone else on my site.

truespeed, maybe you really hate the guy and your sub-conscience banned him. 
Maybe, someone knows how to get into Admin of your site and banned your friend.

I know of the guy and hes pretty well known on the net,he has been banned from many forums,the first thing i thought was maybe whoever coded the board,coded it so that anyone logging in with his username would automatically be banned,sounds unlikely but seems strange nonetheless that he would be banned as soon as hes logged on.
