Poetry Contest....Post poems and critique them
I'll lay the groundwork with my own piece called conscience.
Conscience
In the heart ly many desires,
We all seek these and try to aspire,
That these moments of pleasure,
are all we desire.
But deep in our hearts there lies,
a soul so small and so beautiful,
Thats soft as the sands in the California beach.
We ignore her when she speaks,
And reason for things we seek.
Its hard to resist our inner desires,
We leave the soul in our hearts bleak,
And are glad we are free to do whatever we please.
One of my favorites....hope its one of your favorites to.....
Of course we all know mine is going to beat out the competition cause Im that good.....

Lol, what are the prizes anyway? 
Not sure writing poetry should be done on fierce competition purposes, I mostly write poetry for my own sake
Emitting criticism on other publications makes me feel quite uncomfortable since you dont really want to hurt other people's feelings by saying something inconvenient.
Writing poetry in my case takes loads of time and inspiration.
I truly believe that (sophisticated) poetry which i write is far more than laying down feelings on a sheet of paper, it is an full artistic way of life combined with a powerful mastery of metaphorical sense
