Hello,
I was wondering if there is a free program out there where it can split the connection up. like we have 2 computers here and my sister is alwaysa downloading stuff which makes the internet very slow for me is there away i can set her computer to go at a speed so things dont take 10 minutes to load for me.

What you need is a server function. I'd be surprised if regular 'ol XP can handle it. To do this with windows, I suspect you'd have to upgrade to server 2000 or server 2003.

A better alternative is to get an old cheap PC and load Linux on it in order to do this for you.

hi, you can have a try the wingate proxy and firewall software. It have a feature called bandwidth control that should fit your needs.

i wud also recommend a proxy program. some of them allow u to set the bandwith for each computer.
