Does the PRIDE represent a sport contest?
Do you think Ultimate fight is sport?
There are Ultimate Fighting Championship http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Fighting_Championship in USA and PRIDE Fighting Championships http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRIDE for the rest of the world. The rules are similar in these two competition, so your answer to the poll isn't relevant to the knowledge of both sports.
And about the men in it, my favorite is, of course, Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic, but Fedor Emelianenko sounds unbeatable, impressive from any view...

i believe it is a sport. Many people will say it is not a sport becasue all the blod and brutality but other sports have stronger injuries then in ultimate fight. If the box is sport than the ultimate fight is also a sport
It is most definately a sport, there is not even a debate, I have never heard anyone say it is not a sport.
Two men against eachother in a physical battle is probably the oldest sport around. Think about it in the early days I am sure it was the first organized form of competition. Maybe not as violent.
Summo wrestling, boxing, greco roman wrestling, etc are all in the same category and they are all considered sports so why would MMA not be? All the martial arts are considered sport so why would this be not cosidered one?

Very convincing, canadol!
I tried to bring this poll brecause of may, many words written in my country about this. I did mean that sport option would dominate in this poll, but If I knew there wouldn't be another opinion, I'll be choose another question.
For example, do you think there would be the match Fedor Emelianenko vs. Mirko Filipovic at the last day of this year?
There are some chances for that, but negotiations isn't finished yet.

Where are you from? I live in Canada and it is very popular here and definately a sport.
I would love to see a fight between Fedor vs. Mirko. I think Fedor would win but you never know, in the ring anything can happen
Pride is not very popular over here, we see UFC all over the TV. I was hoping
Vanderlay Silva was going to come to UFC and Fight Chuck Lidell as was promised but it seems that fell through. I really like Silva and wanted to see what he could do in the UFC after many years of being away

Story goes like this from Mirko's fun view of angle: Fedor wants a fight with Mirko, but there are easiest way for him to defend a title, with some other guys, and there are plenty of them who wants a fight . Mirko seems to be very good at this time, in perfect form, so second match against these two opponents could be something else then the last time. Fedor won last match absolutely on every field of fighting rules. But, after last Pride win, Mirko is ready more than ever to fight against Fedor!
Ouch, wasted words by me in this thread:

Good bye Fedor!
