This is very unusual..I can access my site and it works perfectly! however when i try to upload through FTP i'm recieving an error!!

I had just connected via FTP yesterday and uploaded a couple of files which work correctly but it seems like my ip has been banned by the server or something 
Any idea of what might be wrong??
Thanks for your support I get that too sometimes. Mainly at 3 past the hour ie. 9:03am. I don't know what that is but just upload again and it works.
i simply cannot access my FTp .. I cannot upload anything on the server
I've tried again last night and this morning and still no breakthrough. I'm using FlashFXP as an FTP managerand had not trouble accessing the ftp section for the past month however it's always giving me the same error now:

it ain't just at 3 past, it's giving me this error indefenitely .. any ideas?? Same here i cant connect to the ftp and i realy need to can anyone help me.

help please ive just downloaded and tryed using smart ftp it said when i tryed to login with the same details as above:

You need to create an FTP account and use that username and password. 
Not your hosting account name and password.oh stupid me

and tryed loging in to "ftp.brothersunited.frih.net" but didnt work
help again please Hmm. Try swtiching from "Active Mode" to "Passive Mode".
Or vice-versa. I'm not sure.
where is active mode and passive mode
i have tryed this with 3 ftps it wont work with any. i realy need to login

I don't know. I use FileZilla, so I wouldn't know. But I'd have to guess it'd be under options or preferences.

Yes it is. Port 21 is the default FTP port. Are you sure you're putting in everything right?
Or it could be a firewall issue. Make sure your firewall is configured to let port 21 through.
how do i make it do that

Pass : ****** Go to your firewall and either disable it or configure it to allow access to port 21. (Also disable/configure the windows firewall if you're using Windows)
I don't know how to configrue a firewall, you'd need to ask someone for help on this.

The host should be ftp.brothersunited.frih.net although ftp.frih.net will also work.
Your username (that we gave you to log into Direct Admin) does not require the @brothersunited.frih.net suffix. Just use your username matrixuk and your DA password.

This is wrong.
However, it's possible that this is a firewall issue - depending on where you're connecting from (eg. School, College, work etc) the required ports may be blocked by the network admin.

An alternate solution would be to go to www.net2ftp.com
and upload your files with that. 
(Using the login details from the FTP account you created)
EDIT: Oh. Sorry Animal. Thats what I did to upload files, and it worked. That's why I suggested that. that does not work either

*EDIT* never mind i know now and i can get onto the ftp But i need to upload php nuke which has millions of files and that ftp will only let me upload 1 file at a time help I've tried both WS_FTP and CuteFTP, but neither gets me in.
I didn't copy the log for WS_FTP, but here's the CuteFTP one.

So it finds the server but can't connect.
It doesn't work w/ PASV enabled/disabled or my firewall enabled/disabled.
It's been like this for awhile now, probably a month.
Hope it's something simple I missed that'll get this all working...

use net2ftp.com it works really good
If you can access the File Manager in Direct Admin theres no need for FTP. Just upload a tar.gz file (in DA) and then extract it. Quicker than doing it file by file and saves b/w our side and yours!
