Is Avid compatible with Linux? I'm not actually sure if there is a wide range of video editing software availible for Linux.
If you are into video editing I'd serious suggest getting a Mac OS for your projects. I'm running a Windows OS but a lot of things are compatible for it, including Premiere.

EVERYTHING is compatible with linux. It just depends on the distro and programs you have. Earlier, people believed games didn't work in linux, and then they discover WINEX. so, believe me when I say, everything is compatible, you just have to tinker a bit with it to make it work.
I believe that primiere is only available for windows and mac... i havent heard about primiere on linux
He's asking for the a software that is the equivalent of premiere.
