I would like to ask you if anyone knows where can I get a free domain name. A domain, not a subdomain. Ive allready tried dot.tk and I loved it but they have put a page before going to your site recentlly that really disgust me, so I would like to change it. do you have any good suggestion.
What I would like is something like this: www.mydomain.whatever by whatever I mean whatever termination, but only one and not more, so that it looks like a real domain not a subdomain. example: www.risuarez.tk , this is my current domain.

yes, i'm afraid it isn't.
try some of the short subdomains like something.ne1.net or something.co.nr
Domains cost money remember someone has to look after them etc etc, there so cheap nowdays even I got one!.

if u go to www.dot.tk they will give u ur own free domain, just link it to ur webspace and u can have www.whateveryouwant.tk yes, but they will put 'Wait 15 sec or click here enter page along with .tk logo, that looks a bit unproffesional...

Lol .tk, you dont own it, your traffic goes through them.
You can't get a free top level domain with any dns settings. this means the only sort you can get are those like .tk where they stick your site in a frame which is bad basiclly.
Please go and buy one.
Yes! I have already got tired of that tricky offers of free domains. I will buy one wich I think is very cheap. Thanks a lot for your kind comments.

http://www.teenhungama.uni.cc You cannont get a free domain these days. There were days when www.namezero.com offered free domain names, but it is all gone now. You can try a .co.nr subdomain or a .uni.cc or a .cjb.net and so on...
There is one more way to get a free domain other than paying up...
If you have a friend who rund a server, pester him, and he will throw you one... for free 
Guys, thanks to the very kind sugestion of the las poster I think I have found the answer to my problem. I have just fell in love with uni.cc. so far they look very good. I will try it up a few weeks ans see how it gets. I Dont mind about popup publicity but I do hate banners incerted in my index.html. So I will see. If they puyt a popup, I will keep on with them.

You just have to provide valid photos (or scans) of student identification and stuff like that.
It's not a scam or anything. My friend got it, but after I tried it out I decided that I didn't really want it. There's a banner on top of the page, and the control panel is awful. But hey.. it's a free domain.
P.S. You can only get MySQL if you request it. Annoying... TLD domains

yes... thats the problem :/get your own webserver then you can have your own top level domain
to get a tld you could also try to find someone that will buy u 1 for ads on ur site
.TK domain name can't be accesed in China.
And za.net subdomain name is provided by official orgnization,So i think za.net will be my first chioce if i don't have domain name

Without webhosting is impossible get free domain.
