Dreamweaver fail to connect. [RESOLVED]

I am trying to make an FTP connection to frihost but keep getting connection error reports. I've entered the following data into the FTP fields:

Access: FTP
FTP Host: ftp.mysubdomain.frih.net
Host directory:
Login: my username
Password: my control panel/directadmin password

URL: http://www.mysubdomain.frih.net/
Firewall port: 21

I've tried both passive/active but still can't get connected. Currently using Dreamweaver 8. Please help me. Sad

Apparently, I have to create an FTP domain account in DirectAdmin before I can start uploading. I can now connect to the FTP server.

Am I heading the right direction or there is actually a way to upload to DirectAdmin without creating an FTP account?

I now have an FTP account with the following server path:
/home/username/domains/mysubdomain.frih.net/

Is this correct or should it have been:
/home/username/

This FTP i created can no longer be deleted...

i dont really know much about directadmin and havent used it myself but did u try ftp-ing into frih.net with your username and password?

and whats the exact connection error message u were getting?

it kept telling me username or password incorrect. It's my first time using DirectAdmin too. Although the DTP was given by Frihost, the DirectAdmin account does not have an FTP account present, so i still need to create one in order to upload. Now it's working fine. Very Happy

Still trying to get the files to upload into the correct directory. Will explore it later tonight.
