A little Debian help?

KHO
Here is my problem, I have Debian the Sarge r3.0, I like Linux quite a bit, but for some reason I cannot get my sound to work with it. When I first install it, it works, up till re-boot, after that it says that the device /dev/dsp is unavailable (I am using the KDE desktop environment and it loads through aRtS which I don't really like Neutral).
