What is your favorite team and why? Mine?
The Cinci. Bengals (waits for someone to say something nasty..)
I love this team, not because of Chad..but because of Rudy Johnson, he is the man when it comes to running that ball. The offense is exquisite they have at QB Carson Palmer. And a Running Back known as Rudy Johnson! I also like the Reciever Hushmanzada...Can't spell it, but the team is pretty good and only one loss this season, what is your favorite team in the NFL in America!

My favorite football team...in america...is the Atlanta Falcons. I like them becuase like myself they love to run and also I have been a Michael Vick fan since his high school years. No one can stop this team when were firing on all cylinders and someones gotta believe we got a chance at the superbowl. And yes I know the other players I just don't feel like talking about them.
My favorite team is the Dolphins... no apparent reason and they're sucking hard this year
. I really wanna see the Bengals do very well just cause they have sucked for so long and now they're a real contender.
mine is and always will be the 49ers. funny now i know, but the history and greatness of this organization is amazing.. and they will one day rise again (there qb is promising, albeit he is taking more time than matt leinart, but he (matt) has many many more options to throw to sooo i don think it is all alex's fault. plus davis will be great and frank gore is already doing great. i am not saying that they will win the division, but i am saying they will be better. but they are still my favorite team.. and always will be.
GO JETS! I am a jets fan because i grew up in NY and I have faith in them to surprise everyone this year.
I don't have a favorite team but I like watching games with teams from the NFC North.

Only team I support: (even though they STINK this year!
) Is the Washington Redskins.
By the way, if anyone knows why they are doing so bad, even though they've got Gibs back, along with Randel El and other good players, please let me know
For the 10 years I've followed NFL, New England Patriots. Not for specific players (not like there are many players from the 1996 roster left
) as much as for the team. Although I'm obviously a Brady fan - was quick to get his jersey when he took over from Bledsoe, still have it, got a new one recently
Anyway, got a lot of kicks out of watching my first pick favorite team, and a quarterback I was quick to deem a genius (OK, just a great quarterback, before we start a whole other debate...), end up as 3 time Superbowl winners. And they're obviously not done yet
Also have a soft spot for Atlanta Falcons, just because of fellow Dane, Morten Andersen - 33 points to go before he has the highest career score ever in the NFL
Indiana Colts, know why? 'cuz I love Indiana Pacers in NBA!
lol
I like the bears.. they are having an awesome season.. I hope they play superbowl against Indianapolis.. that would be awesome...
Im a bucs fan. Why because they are local.

Me? I must have deep emotional issues. I obviously have problems with subconsciencely wanting to be beaten and humiliated. My loyality overrides my common sense.
I am a New Orleans Saints Fan. (As a matter of fact- check out mt Saints website, link is below. It's a year-by year account of the Saints.)
But finally. Finally after decades of struggling, we have a REAL football team! What a difference just a few changes can make. But the biggest change of all has been the coach. Sean Payton has just done a miracle in New Orleans.

Kaneda, if you like Morten Andersen, check out my site. I have a little article on him at http://nosaintshistory.com/bios/Morten_Andersen.htm.
Andersen has had just an incredible career. Did you know he's the lifetime leading scorer for not 1 but 2 NFL teams? The Saints and Falcons.
If any kicker deserved to be in the Hall of fame, Morten Does.

I must admit I'd probably not pay as much attention to him if he weren't a Dane - in addition to a really down-to-earth, decent, funny guy. And football-wise, he seems to be getting his precision back lately - quite a feat, being the oldest player in the NFL today.
With (now) 31 points left before he has the NFL all-time highest career score, even the slowest Danes have started to notice him (well, not all, since the majority of Danes still share the general European lack of understanding of American football).
Pretty much noone here knew he existed until a Danish TV station broadcast the Falcons-Broncos Superbowl XXXIII. Some years later, their "sister station", TV2 Zulu, started airing games every Sunday + Thanksgiving.
Since then, interest in NFL has grown a lot - Denmark is probably one of the countries (if not the country) outside the US with the highest amount of fans compared to inhabitants - although it's still a relatively low number. And Morten obviously played a major part in that. He's sometimes co-commentator on Zulu's broadcasts of NFL games - and currently writes a "backstage" blog for the station's website. I'm happy to say I was an NFL fan a good deal before the 1998 Superbowl broadcast, though
.
Anyway, very interesting site you have there - I'll have to look more at it when I get home from work. And yes, there were quite a few Andersen records I didn't know of
And yes, I do think he's Canton material - although I'm not sure that will ever happen.

I agree, the Bears have a real chance...WOOT! GO BEARS! We may choke in the playoffs (Kinda like the Detroit Tigers in the WS this year, eh?) but this year is going to be different...Or so I thought, until we lost to the Dolphins. Nothing against the Dolphins or their fans, but we should have won that game.
Not really a big football fan but I'm starting to get into it even more. I like the green bay packers - they were the first team I really ever heard about and i've kinda admired them since.
you know i cant stand bandwagon fans they make me sick
everyone loved the dallas cowboys when they where winning ive loved them from the age of six plus i love
my oklahoma sooners the game i took my boyz to 85,000 where there it was so awesome butt im in oklahoma and where more of a high school and college kind of state we have 3 teams ranked in the top hs teams plus it seems in hs its not about the money its pure love of the game i know my 14 yr old son is a 6/2 240pound lineman hell we have what they call the backyard bowl 23,000 come to watch hs football i think thats so cool
Go the Chiefs! Unlucky not to make the playoffs last year. This year they are travelling ok but not great. Hopefully they can pick it up over the second half of the season.
i like the falcons but they arent up to par at all this year. but i have always been a BRONCOS fan. starting from elway.
San Diego Chargers all the way. But I also support the Saints cause Drew Brees is there now, and, c'mon...how can you not root for the Saints all things considered.
San Diego has got:
1. A solid passing game. Only 3 interceptions thrown this whole season, over 300 yards passing this last game against the Bengals, an incredibly fast, powerful, and accurate arm. Scrambles just fine.
Our wide and slot receivers aren't bad, especially when defenses start gearing up against our running game. Gates (tight end) is a fantastic primary receiver.
2. The running game. LaDanian Tomlinson. Period. No further explanation necessary. Dude is a beast and he's humble as hell about it, which makes him even more likeable and which encourages the other players to be humble and think of the team as a whole first.
Plus, Lorenzo Neal is hands down one of the most underrated blocking fullbacks in the league, every single runningback behind him in Chargers history has put up impressive numbers. And he slams the ball forward when we need him to...even catches every once in a while if we're feeling creative.
3. 3-4 Defense on lockdown. Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman, Foley, Donnie Edwards, and Luis Castillo are untouchable with the pass-rush and mid-field defense. Our line's not bad at stopping the run, but our corners give receivers a little bit too much cushion and our secondary's a little weak...they all could use some work. Still, the front 7 always tend to give quarterbacks a run for their money when it counts.
4. Kicker. Last but not least...Nate Kaeding is an awesome kicker. Incredibly accurate, mad clutch when he needs to be, and lands 60 yard field goals with ease. Scifres, eh, not bad, but it's just punts. Whatever.
My favorite team is the Rams! But they have been slacking the past few seasons. My least favorite team, however, is the Raiders. Where I live everybody is a Raiders fans and I hate them! Oh well, I hope the Rams start to do better! I see no reason why they shouldn't go to the playoffs at least every year because their division is a joke.
we have fun here my ole man is a die hard packers fan and there is me
the only cowboys fan there my other kid id a
minn.vickings fan so football season is loud here my ten year is my lil cowboy fan intraining
roy williams is our fav.(he was a oklahoma sooner) plus if the puppet master jerry jones leaves parcells alone he could build one awesome team he was all pissy about bill parcells pulling bledsoe and whats up with him wanting to tear down texas stadium
is he not rich enough even if your not a c/boys fan you know about texas stadium its a place of history even
if its not some modern day
dome butt its a awesome almost magical about it!!! i know im a big olre dork butt are the bostons fans worse than me?
Patriots all the way!
After years of suffering (with the Red Sox too), we finally have an elite NFL franchise. Thought it would never happen, but never gave up.
Thier team philosophy is now being copied by NFL teams around the league, and rightly so.
Let me reiterate, I am not a bandwagoner, I suffered long and hard to enjoy those 3, yes 3 Super Bowl wins.
GO PATS!!!

My favorite team is the NY Giants. You have to love the big Blue!
The Chargers are the official kings of AFC West.
Charger look poised to make a playoff run.
Any team that beats Denver in Denver, is motivated enough.
The team to go with is the Baltimore Ravens. They are having a good season far and I hope it stays that way. Offense has always been the team's weakness, not it seems those problems are being solved. Great Stuff. My Million-Dinar question is WTF is going on in Pissburg? Is there some cholera outbreak that is negatively affecting Bill Cowher's team we should know about? They are not playing like superbowl champs at all. However, the Raven also had a not so good season after winning. But still, the Steelers look like they are in serious trouble!!
my cowboys won today happy thanksgiving to all my nfl friends luv mystickitty
I've got my eye on this kid...It appears as though the Redskins can't do anything right, but Jason Campbell's debut went pretty well. His every first throw was to prove he could go over the top. Big guy who can really string the deep out. He can move around some and still be accurate. The only thing was his accuracy, it was good, but not pinpoint. If you collect rookie stuff, get his now! He reminds me a lot of Doug Williams.
Hello Everyone
Good day...
NFL, National Football League..
Well it's a nice sports, it really requires
strength, speed, agility and most of all power.
Most of NFL athletes have a good body.
with a lot of well placed muscles so that
they'll have the power and strength to tackle
and take down the opponents....
I hardly understand this game.
The only thing is that, you have to pass the ball
once, and run to your own goal
without being put down by your opponents.
If i am to be a NFL player,
i would like to be a Quarterback.
Thank you.

Seattle Seahawks all the way baby :p Always been my favorite team and now that they've done so well in the last few seasons they're even more fun to watch! Just got done watching them beat the Packers on Monday Night Football w00t. Really good game, the score was close until the very end.
Get Jason Campbell's rookie stuff now! Here's one scout's breakdown:
"Well-built athlete with a tall, basketball player's style frame … Has a very strong throwing arm and quick feet to avoid pressure, but is better suited throwing out of the pocket … Sometimes loses accuracy and velocity throwing on the move, as he does not set his feet properly to put all of his force behind those tosses … Still, for a player of his size, he shows good mobility.
Made excellent progress in most areas of his game over the last year … Does a nice job of carrying out fakes and has a quick, high release with the strength to get the ball down field … When he rolls out of the pocket, he will sometimes hold the ball low and exposed, resulting in costly fumbles … Still needs to show better judgement, but has the power behind his throws to thread the ball in a crowd.
Is developing good toughness in the pocket and no longer looks for a rush lane or to hold on to the ball too long when his primary targets are covered … Used to lock on to his main target too much, but coach Al Borges showed him that with patience, he does a much better job of scanning the field or taking hits stepping up in the pocket … His touch on his long ball has improved quite a bit, but he still needs to work on his underneath throws.
In 2004, Campbell had very good success with the deep outs, fades and posts … Shows better timing and the ability to give his receivers a chance to compete for the ball than he did in the past … Does a good job maneuvering when forced out of the pocket, but is better standing in the pocket than on the roll out, as he is more effective when he has a chance to time his throws.
Still has not fully grasped the mental aspect of calling his own game yet, and will need to have the plays called for him until he can prove that he can handle play-calling on his own … Needs to work on some fundamentals, especially his feet in his pass set, but he has the quickness to get back from center … Made more sound decisions in 2004 than he did in the past, but he still must improve in reading coverages … His natural athletic skills are what makes him an intriguing prospect, but understand that this is a player that has had to digest four different offensive systems during his four years in college."

Nice quote, got me thinking. hmmmmm
Good day to you sir,
Bruce
Go Saints. I've like the saints since 1994 when I visited New Orleans and saw the Lousiana Superdome. This is definately a year for saints fans to rebound back from one of their worst seasons with no home to come charging back and (presumably) taking their division. I was happy as a clam when they acquired Drew Brees and Reggie Bush. I wasn't too sure about the whole Bush thing when I first heard of it, but I'm glad to see they figured out what to do with Duece and Bush.
Thats all for my ramblings for now, hopefully we figure out a way to penetrate the Chicago Bears defense then maybe we can make a superbowl this year.
Big San Diego Chargers fan since Dan Fouts era. Quite a few bad years for me, but finally this year we have a good team. Mostly built with good draft picks from all the bad years, and a couple very good trades. LT is the freakin man....especially because as good as he is he doesn't run his mouth like to many athletes these days.
^
Very true. I have a profound respect for Ladainian as a sportsman...his head is definitely in the right place, and I think he's the best "role model" figure anyone could ask for in the NFL right now. Definitely my pick for MVP...the dude runs, passes, and catches, and does all three well.

I'd love to see the Saints & Chargers go head to head in the Superbowl.
They did settle the McAllister/Bush conundrum fairly well; I don't think either of them can complain. McAllister is a solid runningback and Bush makes a great secondary back/receiver/end (whichever he is, I forget).
You fantasy players want to pick this kid up as soon as possible. Campbell looked pretty good last night. Right now, with so little of the playbook at his disposal, the play called is the play that's run. Campbell isn't out there running audibles. They're often going with max-protect and he seems to only have one read and one check down. See, it's not going to be like that next season. Washington also needs to get him a real number one to throw to. That's not Santana Moss, he's their deep threat.
The real WRs can do it all, and do it well! They run crisp routes and shake DBs, you can't jam them at the LOS, they can block and catch balls in traffic. The better WRs can come over the middle, take a hit and hang on to the football. They'll make adjustments on a bad throw and have a natural tendency to come back for the football. They can read coverages, break off their route and go over defenders for the football. See, the 'skins don't have that player right now and their TE is an unemployed circus clown playing in the NFL. I don't know what they've done with next year's draft picks, they often don't have any but if they do, they need to draft as much help for Campbell as possible.
My favorite team is the San Francisco 49ers. I'm not sure if they'll make it to the playoffs but I hope they do. Raiders are doing horrible this season.
hope everyone had some good food and a great family day of christ, and football i dont know if the cboyz are going to sink or swim!!! i have been sick all of the holidays and did not catch to many games i hope everyones teams did good p.s. roy williams cant do it all himself and i i am still sad over oklahomas loss !!!!!!!!!!!! my mom who knows nothing about football called it the taterchip bowl what a goober
have a safe 2007 and let the playoffs begin good luck mystickitty
The Rams are my favorite team! Too bad Faulk retired.
My favorite are the bears...
Yo Tony Romo botched the snap....lol...who believes that garbage?...wake your crap up amerika
Just read an article that says that after a disappointing season Joe Gibbs is going shake things up. Does that mean he’s going to punch Danny boy in the face? Probably! It’s a clear day outside and that helps me read stuff. How about you? Oh well, lets see what else the article says about Gibbs cleaning house for the 2007 season. Definitely there’ll be no change at quarterback, Jason Campbell is now the ‘skins no 1 guy. Ok, just got done cleaning the car out…lets see what this article says…
Campbell is 6’4”, 230lbs…I’ve seen the pictures and watched him throw the football on my television set on Sundays during the fall…He’s got major arm strength from what I can see…maybe I need my eyes checked…maybe the guy is on ‘roids like everybody else? I’ve read some stuff about that but I’m no expert on the subject…I just read the stuff and try to pick up the lies between the lines you know? Well, probably you don’t…lol…Ok, what else is in this article about Campbell…
Gibbs likes Campbell’s toughness & poise but it’s uncanny how someone will say something and then the exact opposite occurs…Like when Rod Gardner came out, the scouts all liked his hands, great hands they said…then, I guess he regressed in the NFL…couldn’t catch anything…lol…how did that happen? Oh, the money got to him…yeah sure…as if you’d know…who am I talking to here anyhow? Oh crap, I haven’t taken my meds yet, that explains stuff…Campbell wears no 17 and the skins colors are red & yellow & white. The helmet is red I think…It used to have an arrow on it, some people think it sends the wrong message. I figure, the history books depict Indians as being savages, so what’s the big deal?
I mean, we all know how the west was won, right? Honorably and in a god-like fashion. The senseless slaughter of Native Americans is a lie I guess. Anyway, the dictionary says the term redskin is derogatory but the Indians the tv talks to say they like the team and feel it honors them…I mean, the tv wouldn’t lie to us, right? I’m off topic a bit I guess…
Oh, I know what I forgot to add...maybe when campbell takes the snap the ball has helium in it? crap, i could throw a ball filled with helium 80 yds too...Oh man, that can't be...because the same networks that pay 100s of millions to broadcast the games would certainly be the first to tell us the game had zero integrity, right? ...lol... Oh that's right, CNN & the NYTimes would tell us if they didn't...there's so many independent sources, we always get the absolute truth, and for free, there's nothing they can do w/o us knowing....lol...besides, reports that 90% of everything we see, hear and read is controlled by just 5 international conglomerates is a lie...lol...
I gotta go with the Giants I guess, although oddly enough the NFL is a league that I didn't really get into watching until a little later in life. I spent my entire time watching NHL hockey, which I continue to do, but I have to say I am more a fan of the league in general. I like watching any team play and just root against teams my family members are in love with. You know how that goes
Ice Hockey is awesome! The NHL is run by thugs, unfortunately. For decades the draw to the game was the brawls. With the exception of more scoring, which has resulted mostly from sloppy goaltending, they've never considered making the game more exciting. The imaginary obstacle, the blue line, absolutely destroys transition. Because of the blue line, teams never needed a lot of skaters, or puck handlers. What the game calls for most are thugs who can hit, intimidate & punish people. Face it, the game has two main features: dump & chase on offense and clear it out of zone on defense. That's all an NHL game is.
Dump & chase only proves how ridiculously restricting the blue line is. Teams literally sacrifice possession of the puck in order to proceed closer to the net as a unit. That's f'n stupid and really boring. I've confronted many so-called hockey fans and they all say the same things. Di, Di, if you remove da blue line you have too many breakaways. ...lol... complete idiots! Although football is situational any given play is subject to transition. If a defender gets his hands on the ball that's it, he's heading for the goal!
Basketball proves every game that teams can get back. That's the beauty of transition and the real key to basketball. Which team is more disiplined and goes from offense to defense and vice versa, the fastest. Trust me, if the NHL trashed the blue line you'd see a lot more skaters and it'd be a great league! Kick up the game with unrestricted transition and ice hockey would explode! Even if scoring greatly increased, so what? No one would watch the game if teams scored 15 to 20 goals to win? ...lol...THAT'S ABSURD! Oh, and don't spam the football board with your basement bucket bush league again! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? ...lol... just kidding...

even though it looks like al davis is taking serious drugs and still trying to manage the silver and black,
i gotta stick with the boys from the East Bay.
cuz next year we'll have a leader for a coach
and a boy with an arm leading the attack
so don't listen to what the critics say,
In '07 The Raiders will smoke you like a roach.
