highway bridge collapse.
recently...in montreal canada(my home town)
a brige leading to laval(a very busy bridge) collapsed.
this happened on a saturday afternoon around 1 pm.
the really stupid thing is that around 9 am the police recieved calls saying that a meter long piece of the brige had fallen...AT 9 AM!!!!...4 HOURS BEFORE THE TRAGEDY!!!!
the police then told the callers that this wasnt their domain..and the callers were supposed to call securite routiere du quebec...
u gotta be kidding me!!!

hell i dont care if its their problem or not...they are there to serve and protect

PROTECT...PROTECT!!!!!
they should have at least sent some men out there to block the high way and divert traffic until an inspection could be made.
in my opinion they are at fault for the deaths of the people that were crushed under the weight of all that concrete...
the could have prevented many deaths and injuries...
I HOPE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ANSWERED THE CALLS OF THE CONCERNED AND SOON TO BE SHOCKED CITIZENS, GET FIRED AND POSSIBLY BE HELD ACCOUNTIBLE FOR THE PEOPLES MISERY AND DEATHS...
the police force should pay for the funeral proceedings of all the deceased...and any medical bills the injured have incurred as a result of their negligence.
if the police had moved in then they would have stopped people from being on the bridge when it collapsed.
and even if it isnt in their job to check the highway condition complaints...
when someones life is in danger due to a falling piece of concrete and you get a complaint call from that person...
YOU GET OFF YOUR DOUGHNUT EATING ASS AND GET OUT THERE AND PREVENT AND FURTHER THREATS TO PEOPLES LIVES...

sorry i just get a little worked up because i was on my way towards the bridge when it happened...i was about 50 feet away from the collapse site ...my friend was driving and we just saw this huge cloud of dust...and the brige wasnt there no more...we backed up about 10 feet and took the exit off the highway.3 of our friends were ina car ahead of us they were about 15 feet from the wreck.
after that we listened to the radio..and we learned that there were calls made to the police earlier that day and they did nothing about the problem...
a waste of tax dollars if you ask me.
people died due some butmunches inactivity... i almost died due that persons inactivity.
and so far nothing has been done about it...shows that the cops really can do anything they want...or don`t want.

Such things always can happen. It's terrible and intimidating but not
