How do you fix a mouse thats going crazy its so mest up it opens file and folders

i hav an mx510 too. its an awesome mouse, and you can get it pretty cheap now that they came out with the mx518, which is pretty much the same thing, just a little better, and you can adjust the sensitivity easier (or something to that respect), anyhow the mx518 is not worth the mx510.
i would recommend you just buy the mx510.

Just re-start your computer. 
Mouse's work is open files and folders, i think . If viruscheck and restart didnt work... Your mouse have to be broken... Veterinarian can help or buy new mouse

but for real they're right if its a ball unscrew the bottom plate that holds the ball in and clean it good and the ball too, and blow out under the buttons.

Clean the mouse ball and wheel ... 
First thing that I would do is try a different mouse, even if you have to borrow one. Prefferably one with the same type of connection (PS2 or USB)
That way you will know if the problem is in the mouse or if it's something on the pc itself.
