Very good game, very powerful cursor, but is also lacks, it is plainness, and grey games
It was a pretty good game and the game played out like a movie. However, it seemed like the game was a bit shorter then the original Half Life. I hope that Half Life 2:Aftermath expansion will be just as good as Half-Life 2.
It's too bad Hollywood never picked up Half Life to turn it onto the big screen. I better it'd be 20x better then doom.

I just tried HL2 and i only have a thing to say...
WAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
I mean Chars in the game are so close to real peeps... faces... lips eyes.... every thing is kinda perfect....
well.. i'm a noob in this kind of games.... but i like to try them.... and nothing compares to this one for the graphics... i found it easy to understand... and stressfull when you got 10 cops looking for you lol (in the begining)
well... next time i'll play i'll post screen shots .... to make you see what i mean

What I enjoy after all is the precision of the guns. Just try to shoot a cop at his head with the first pistol : it works perfectly! So just get a bit hidden and aim them discretly at the head. Then the remaining cops ask for what's happening lol

Ahh I just beat the game. The ending was surprising, yet a bit disapointing. But now I know why people list this game as #1 - it's a bloody great game!

well... i liked the game... espescially in the buggy or in the other vehicule... but i found it short life...
i mean i finished it in 14-15 hours....

Yop, I agree with U. I was a bit disapointed since I expected to pass in the aliens world again, like in the first Half-Life game. Which was all the more frustrating when, as Gordon Freeman, in the citadel - end of the game - we can see odd military alien-like weapons and vehicles...

when Gordon was in the "sarcophagus" leading to the top of the citadell ... i was goin' crazy!!! i wanted to get out and make my way to the top sayin' HELLO to the lil (only 4m tall) aliens
but that was not the case.... i just could stick my face to the glass of the sarcophagus and watch them from a "long" range :'(

Yeah dod source was a bit disappointing, but i think when the good custom maps start to come out it will be good.
There's 1 or 2 out atm that are ok, just sort the server list by map name and go to the bottom to see the custom 1's.

sorry but when it comes to first person shooters pc is the only way to go imo.

I think that PC is the only way to go on any type of game... consoles suck IMHO.

I was really impressed with the games ability to work on older sysems. With my comp I can run the game at high detail and physics and runs with very few problems. I can't even run F.E.A.R. on minimum settngs without dropping to 20 frames. And the player physics dont even come close to hl2
As said above, HL2 is the best FPS ever made. I was alil bit dissapointed on Counter-Strike: Source, as it hasnt that Counter-strike feeling that it has on the old engine...

I don't think "it is the coolest game!". Nowaday, we can enjoy an entertaiment in a wonderful world of games. I think the first class is Online Games!

With the real version, you can play online legally so its great!

Anyone downloaded the "Lost Coast" Mod? My computer wouldn't run it at it's best, but the graphics looked stunning on some screenshots I googled...
As for counter strike, I've been kicked off loads of servers just fore being generally crap, haha. I usually lash out at any user that calls me a NOOB too... I hate that term!! So GEEKY.

Half Life 2 really is awesome.
I wouldn't say "OMG TEH BEST GAME EVAH!!1" and "this is the game of the year!" stuff. It's just an "ordinary" FPS, hence the big hype about it. The source engine is really cool (especially the physics) and there are great moments in it but it somehow didn't meet my expectations. I was waiting for someting more monumental, you know... Oh, well, it's still a great game, I've played it over three times.

HL2 is a great game, let me tell you just how much this game means to me....and dont make fun I'm a nerd I know. Half-Life 1 changed my life! I never liked first person shooters until that game. It's story gripped me and sucked me into the game in a way that I've never been gripped and sucked before! (yes I am aware of how that sounds I left it like that coz its funny...) I played it over and over, I played every mod released for it (especially counterstrike, god bless counterstrike) I even made my own levels for halflife & counterstrike. I waited patiently for HL2 to come out. And I mean like I was waiting for the day man! When HL2 finally came out, it would run on my pc but not very smoothly and I'd have to have the graphics turned down for it to run even half-decent. I decided to wait until I had a better system before I played the game so that I could fully enjoy the half life 2 experience. Now, a year later, I'm FINALLY playing the game. And let me tell you it is good.

in russia legit edition cost 6 euros.
half lifein general is the best game i've ever played... the grapics are awesome... its awesome... the second one was easy to beat... but are you supposed to die at the end?? lol it was weird... much fun... i love the game counter strike! xD

ive passed the game in about 3 hours, theres video around the net where a player passes the game in 2 hours and 40 minutes.. without using cheat codes...

HL2 is a good game, but the coolest thing is getting all of your friends together with their computers and having a LAN party!
Half-Life 2 was fun for while...
But currently I only play the deathmatch.
Which is in my opinion more fun then the single player game.

Ofcourse it hopeless if you really have a Pentium Processor of 233Mhz and an ATI Rage 3D with a stunishing 4MB memory.

I agree consoles have bad graphics compared to the PC, and the PC mouse gives you full control in most games
and if we ever needed a controller we just buy a Xbox 360 controller, which should do the trick, as you can connect it to the PC :)
The new things are always introduced on the PC not on the console!
But there also a few advantages of having a console:
-You don't have to switch graphics cards every year, consoles remain for about 4 years
-!3uggs!
-Sitting in your lazy chair, while you game
But consoles also get old.. So you always want the newest model of a console.

And I beat it ha.This game just rules. I've only played the demo of it but IT IS AWSOME! The people, the environments, everything is so real. I'm thinking of buying the full game from a friend of mine because he can't play it. You need internet and he doesn't have it. That's the only bad thing I see in this game, you NEED internet to play.
