Hey everyone, I am considering going for Microsoft certification. Some people say it is a good gateway into IT (technical support, helpdesk, ect.) industry; some say it is a waste of time and what is more important moneY!!! If anyone has any personal experiences please share Smile

I have not personally done any Microsoft certification, but I have studied Computer Science and worked with many Microsoft products. Personally I feel that it could be usefull but most of the time not necessary. most of what you learn there you could probably learn from online tutorials for free. If you need it to apply for a certain job that requires it, then it may be necessary. The problem is that you will keep needing to upgrade your certification, so a degree would be better in the long run to give you the tools you need to be able to apply yourself to any situation. It all depends on your situation! Wink
