Painting My DS lite

ok, so i was one of the few that got an american DS lite a few weeks before release date, but the new slick onyx black DS. and i dont want to go trade in my DS lite plus $50 for one. my gurl also got a DS lite, but hers was purchase on release date.

i want a unique DS but i still want to retain the highgloss so i went out and bought some silver model paint, painted the top of my DS and then used an acrylic spray to make it glossy. i also pimped out the DS logo with tiny 1mm glass rine-stones. but its still not the look that i want.

i want it to look chrome, with like a mirror-like finish. does anyone have any suggestions???

i saw how that one guy sanded his DS, but it turns out to be a bunch of crock and it was some kind of film he put on the top part (even though he really sanded the baq side)

Maybe you can resort to using air compressor to air-spray your DS lite? This method is used to paint those robot and car models, so I don't see why it can't be used on your console.

you wont get that chrome look you see on cars and bikes unless you chrome the Ds cover but there are some special paints out there that mimics a chrome effect here is a page that specialises in that kind of paint

This is why I didn't trade my old DS in for a lite. I have a unique design which involves pixel stick, scotch tape, the Macintosh Apple, and sharpie. I think I'm actually going to paint over it now that you gave me the idea.
