When you use the internet, your computer has a unique number which identifies your computer to other computers on the internet. This unique number is known as the computer's IP (Internet Protocol) Address. Now, you can know your IP address just visiting http://ip.sscity.net .The site will automatic detect your computer IP.
http://ip.sscity.net
Another option - You can write in commands ipconfig and you see your IP.
There are heaps of ways to see your IP address without having to go to a website.
wow thnx. I was looking for something like this.
Or you can go to this one, works pretty good, too:
Not bad, but there are a ton of other services that do the same thing. Plus, there are a ton of ways you can determine your IP address without actually going to any website, such as write your own script. Still, pretty good.

Yeah, but it's more fun to write your own script.

This is actually usefull even considering that. (I want to see if this network remaps my IP, or if it's the same internally and externally)
*edit*
It does.
IP via IPconfig: 172.20.1.162
IP via that site: 169.139.217.100
Figure out your IP while scaring your music stealing buddies: http://www.grokster.org/
^^that last one leads to one of those parked sites. Check it please! Your description sounds interesting!
will i ever have a static ip if my connection runs through a proxy server? I've had issues with certain scripts that cannot work with a proxy ip as it keeps changing every couple minutes! So i keep getting logged out...even with phpBB..it is impossible for users on my ISP to acess phpBB admin without hacking at its security coding to keep oneself logged in..
